Good product

Fair warning, this piece takes time and patience to put together. It is definitely a 2-person task, and the granite top that goes on last is extremely heavy. That being said, this kitchen island was worth every penny and every hour spent on assembly. It is absolutely beautiful, and gives me the extra counter space and storage that I needed in a SMALL kitchen (I have a 1-bedroom apartment). I am super pleased. In terms of wood color, I got the mahogany, which appears way darker on the site. However, it looks more like a cherry wood in person, so it matches the rest of my kitchen perfectly. Great piece!

Stunning, Conversation Piece

Very solid and attractive cabinet/island. While assembly is required, was not too difficult to accomplish. Shipped in 3 boxes and arrived when promised.

This is a nice cabinet that looks clean and provides some convenience.
I can't speak to the longevity of engineered wood and MDF and I would advise keeping it clear of moisture.
Assembly was not bad, although it took this aging guy quite a while.  Everything fit well together.
Two mechanical issues and one cosmetic issue that can be easily corrected concern the finish, drawers and wheels.
The drawers are less than 12 inches deep and extend only half way out.  If you need something in the back of the drawer, you'll need to unload the front or pull it out of its slot, entirely, which is what I have to do.
I planned on using the wheels to move the island around when cleaning or making room for other activities but, they are shabbily constructed and too hard to grip the floor which causes them to scrape along without turning in the proper direction.  This will scratch the floor and frustrate the operator.
I would suggest providing drawer glides that extend all the way out, replacing the hard plastic wheels with softer, rubber wheels that grip the floor surface, and including a small vial of touch-up paint.  There are several scuffs out of the box and a couple due to assembly.
In addition, make the hand towel and paper towel hangers interchangeable to allow for various room configurations.

Nice but limited

The Granite top is nice. Other than that, the cart is slowly falling apart and there is no way to fix cheap. I initially purchased this cabinet in May 2014. The nails did not hold and the whole this is wobbly since I put it together. The spaces on the sides are too small to use for much storage. The quality of this cabinet is very poor.

Do not waste your money!

Good luck putting this together with the lousy cam locks they provide. Mine fell completely apart about 3 or 4 times trying to put together and it was because the cam locks just would not hold. Looks good once it is together but don't abuse it much because it will fall apart on you. I would of never bought this to begin with if I had known ahead of time the problems putting it together. It also just doesn't seem stable.

LOUSY CAM LOCK SYSTEM

The stainless steel scratches really bad. Everything that touches it will leave a scratch. Not good quality stainless steel. The cabinet itself is perfect. The company said it will turn darker in time but I fail to see how that will cover scratches.

while it is attractive and sturdy enough, in less than a month the metal sheet has separated from the board underneath that forms the countertop, leaving bubbles and an uneven surface.  It seems the adhesive was not sufficient, not quality or not applied correctly and is the entire metal surface is detached. Will be contacting the manufacturer and probably returning to Walmart, which is unfortunate as it was something of an ordeal to assemble.
