This is a great futon mattress! This is actually our second one of this particular one! I previously had to replace a mattress on a different futon we have and bought this one...when we needed to replace the other mattress I went right to my account to find the one I had bought before and automatically ordered the same one again...You wont be disappointed in this mattress, its thick and comfortable unlike others! I highly recommend this one to anyone looking for a more comfortable durable mattress!!

After reading some of the not so good reviews on this mattress, I was a little nervous to order it.
As for the terrible odor some complained about, I did not have this experience. When it first arrived, I was surprised because I wasn't sure how they would ship it. It comes rolled up and vacuum sealed, so it is quite small. However, I could barely drag it into the house. It is very heavy! (well 60 lbs. but that was heavy for me). Once you open the sealed plastic, it kind of explodes into a full mattress! It is very comfortable to lay on, so at this point, I'm very happy with it.

Pleasantly Surprised!

I ordered this futon mattress to replace a thinner, cheaper one that two of my 3-year old triplet grandchildren slept on for one year. This mattress is not only thicker and firmer, but much more comfortable. It's every bit as good as a regular bed mattress. Anyone purchasing a futon bed that you plan to use on a regular basis, I strongly recommend this mattress.

Definitely a very good mattress!

After years of fighting my husbands incessant pleads for a futon in his home office (whyyy) I finally caved and went with this mattress. To my surprise, it's actually very comfortable and feels like a regular mattress, with its coil system. I looked around for quite some time before settling on this one and I'm glad I did. The black tufted cover looks great and was easily dressed up with a nice blanket and some throw pillows. 10/10 would recommend.

Great Mattress

I bought this to replace a molded futon mattress so that I would have a bed to sleep on. Money being tight, instead of getting a bed, I decided to use my futon frame and just replace the mattress.

I am so pleasantly surprised with this mattress! It is INCREDIBLY comfortable, very springy, no aching shoulder when I wake. It was delivered via FedEx Home (for free!) and the Fed Ex deliverer brought it inside my home where I wanted it. It comes in a very large duffle bag, which made me think, "well shoot. That is gonna be uncomfortable." (see photo. Please excuse the blankets and pillows under the frame. lol Those were for my dogs)

Got it out of the duffle, sliced (carefully) open the vacuum wrap, and FWOOSH! Mattress. Gave it a few minutes to expand and this is a super thick (it really is 8", I measured) mattress that was just awesome to lie down on.

I got the tan color so that when I'm no longer using it as a mattress, I can keep it as a futon, and it's a very nice microfiber fabric. My frame is a steel frame, not a wood base. The mattress fits perfectly (I got the full size).

Surprisingly comfortable!

I haven't used this thing as a futon mattress; let me just get that out of the way. But as a regular mattress, it's very comfortable, was very affordable for what it is, and I'm very satisfied with it, overall. I'd also like to mention how crazy-fast it arrived--seeeveral days before the earliest forecasted date. I read some reviews about a smell..? I didn't notice much at all, and nothing that didn't air out within a few hours.

Some notes and tips about opening it... First of all, it is VERY tightly vacuum-sealed. It's gonna take a little work to get it out of the packaging, and it'll never go back inside it again, but that's okay. It made me understand how the shipping size was way down. When you start to open it from the plastic sleeve it's in, have it laying where it'll unfold out where you want it, and make sure you're not on that side, because it does kind of... Burst forth. So be behind it and be careful if you're opening it with something sharp. :)

Great Product!

Ive never owned a futon or futon mattress. I purchased this with the frame as well and i must say I love this mattress. so comfy and just like a mattress you'd buy for a bed. I would recommend this mattress to anyone who has a futon. worth the money.

This Mattress is met my expectations

Very comfy mattress, seems to be good quality - my son likes it and says it's very comfortable. Only thing that isn't great is that it smells a little funky when it comes out of the packaging - we sprayed it down with Febreze and let it "air out" for a couple of days - then we put a thick mattress cover on it, which also helped.

Good quality, comfy, smells a little weird

This was the second (same) futon mattress I had purchased. The first one was 2 years ago, it is a great mattress still. We decided we needed a second one for another bed/room. Bought this one and THE SMELL WAS HORRENDOUS! We aired it out for almost 2 weeks, fabreezed it etc. The smell was still so bad that we had to take it back. You couldn't be in the same room with the smell. Room was no longer usable while the mattress was in the room. The room it was in still smells and that was 2 months.....GROSS!! BUYER BEWARE! They stated that it would smell and it would dissipate. IT never did. The first mattress we bought never smelled. They claim the smell is from the process that mattress is made. That is my 2 cents. Loved the first one, won't buy again.

THE SMELL OF THE FUTON MATTRESS WAS HORRENDOUS!

I was so excited about this purchase. They said it would have a "New" smell that would dissipate after a few days. It has been 2 weeks and the smell is as strong as ever. I can't stand being in the room with it. If it didn't smell, I'd probably love it, but I am not sure what I will do, since their is no way to pack it back into the bag it comes in. If anyone has any solution to this "Smell" issue, I'd love to hear about it.
