when I purchased this item, I thought it came with the frame, of course it was just the mattress, so I had to spend more money to get the frame, all in all it was worth getting because instead of keep buying air mattresses this futon is great for my overnight guess.

Read some of the reviews and couldn't really see where the negative ones had any bearing on the actual product sold.  I thought the futon mattress lived up to everything I understood from the description offered.  If I was expecting a down mattress, Serta, or Select Number bed, then maybe I would have just cause for complaint.  I am extremely happy with the futon mattress and would gladly purchase the same one in the future if the case ever arises again.  Great value for the money, and very comfortable.

Forget the Naysayers...

I love this mattress it is comfortable and priced right. It is very thick and cushioned. While it is comfortable to sit on, I do not think I would want to sleep on it for more than a couple of nights. We are using it in our basement den area. Please excuse the dust and dirt it is still under construction.

Great for my needs

Not the exact product as described, the one I received was smaller dimensions (labelled, not just measured) and a different model to the one in the description. However, it is comfortable and was affordable enough, so I don't mind the quality. DHP Caden 6 Inch Futon Mattress, Full = just right enough for a simple living room futon. Recommend for students.

Not Exact Product as Described, but Comfy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was what I expected.  it is thin in design, 6 inches, therefore for me being my size and weight, it can be uncomfortable.  the price was good for my budget. I wished I had purchased the 8 inch, but it was not avaliable and I  needed it  quickly. Again, for  the price and availability it was a five star. but for me, functionally a 3 star. Now, you can evaluate it from here. I  hope this is helpful.  It is not a firm mattress

it is bunched up and lumpy in places
and the industrial zip tie cut into the mattress and had caused damage and there is no immediate remedy for this..quite dissatisfied with the state of my brand new item....

Thin piece of sponge. You can feel the frame's bars through this cheap material. Don't waste your money. If Walmart still provided shipping return labels for its members, I would have returned it immediately!

Cheap sponge Buyer BEWARE!

This futon mattress had metal things going through the mattress. They were used to make it quilted. Very uncomfortable and I could see where they would come apart easily. Not sure why it was designed out but very poor design. I would not recommend this.Poor design

Poor design

filling flattened out after just a month or two. decor buttons are too loose. had to buy a mattress board to support it or it pushed between the bars of the futon frame. I also bought a cover for it to keep the buttons from scratching legs or pulling off.

too thin

I purchased this futon mattress online to replace one that had been damaged. I was at home when the delivery was made and was excited to finally have a replacement so I opened it right away. The mattress arrived in just a shipping box (not in its own product box, but in a regular shipping box) rolled up - not so neatly - and bound with a single plastic band. And that was it...no plastic wrapping or protective covering of any kind, no documentation, no packing slip...no nothing! The box was damaged with a couple puncture holes and what appeared to be mildew on the bottom flaps. The mattress itself was dirty and smelled musty. There is no way I would want to sit or lay down on that thing! Even if it had been properly packaged, I doubt I would have kept it. It felt and looked cheap and thin. It would probably work for a futon that is rarely used (like an office or spare room), but I was looking for a mattress to replace a futon in one of my kids' rooms which is used quite a bit. I order online quite frequently from Walmart, and this is the only time I have been really disappointed with my purchase. I don't know if this is the norm for how they package and ship this product, but if so, I would not recommend anyone purchasing this mattress. (At least online...but I have yet to find this or a similar product in-store.) I have returned the mattress, which was an ordeal in itself...and I've purchased a replacement elsewhere.
