I was just looking for an inexpensive futon for a guest bedroom. I came upon this in the store..went home and ordered online with free shipping! Once it was put together I was amazed at how not only was it nice to look at (the side arms are constructed of solid wood!) it is a very sturdy bed with a fairly thick mattress! I would highly recommend this bed!

I bought this because honestly it was the cheapest I could find that seemed to still be a decent quality product. And I got exactly what I expected, a futon mattress that my kids (8&2) could sleep and sit on. Do not get this for a teen or adult to spend any real time on.

It's good for what it is.

I was actually very disappointed on how the futon mattress was shipped to my house.  Of course it happened to rain the day I received it, and not only was there a hole in the box, but the cardboard the futon mattress was shipped in was slightly flimsy, and the mattress SHOULD HAVE been put in plastic wrapping, or a big bag but it was not.  So when I received it, about 1/2 of the mattress was wet or very damp.  If it had been wrapped in some type of plastic it wouldn't have been wet.  And on part of the mattress that was wet, it felt very slimy like something might have been spilled on it.  I decided to take a chance and opened it up and aired it out the next day to see if it would dry out and it was fine, but if this was my company that had shipped the product., I would have given myself a severe reprimand for even thinking of shipping the product, the way it was shipped to me ! I can only hope they can be a little smarter in the future when packaging their product, it was just not very bright.

Good product but VERY POOR packaging !

Got this for a bottom bunk for my 4 year old- good for her size /weight. Wouldn't reccomend for anyone older then 10ish. Mattress isn't firm so more weight brings you to sitting/laying on the bars. 
Was NOT wrapped in plastic, so it you are having it delivered to your house I would reccomend being there of it plans to rAin. The flimsy box was soaked as well as most of the mattress on delivery due to rain

is okay for small children

its confortable but not to sleep everyday, could be ocasional , i have a metal  futton and you can feel the crossbars, especialy if you sit on it, so as a guest  especial occasion is good , i had to buy a sheet of playwood to put under the matress, that way got moer confortable, is better that other cheaperones , but once i place the wood under got much confortable. if you willing to do that is a great choice for the price

Good for the price

It looks like the picture; however, the futon mattress they give you is filled with 6 inches of cotton and polyester which ultimately smashes down to 3-4 inches and it is very uncomfortable. KMART has virtually the same futon and their frame is very similar to Walmarts but their mattress is made of individually wrapped coil springs; wrapped in cotton and polyester and is much more firm where it needs to be and soft where it needs to be for $40 extra dollars. It would be well worth the time and effort to go to KMART and purchase theirs. Theirs looks and appears similar, their frame is better than Walmarts and is overall a better product. I will have to spend an extra $150 to get a better futon mattress because the one that comes from Walmart is so uncomfortable. By the way both futons are named from a different manufacturer but it icomes from the same company DHP.

Beautyful not comfortable

It's not mattress material. It's like wool or foam. Definitely not cushiony and comfortable. Very disappointed. Not worth the price.

Not what I was expecting!!

The picture was of a futon. I THOUGHT that was what I was purchasing. Instead, I got 4 cushions made out of the cheapest material in existence and a cover.

Ripoff

I followed the directions as best as possible, and I don't know if it is right. I tried to roll out of the bed and the entire bed tilted up. After reading the reiviews, I am debating if I should return, as now it's all assembled and I am not sure how to do that? The mattress is definitely not the same as the one I saw in the store. The bottom also tilts a bit and I am short and cannot touch the ground. This is my 2nd disappointing purchase out of 2 from Walmart.

It tilts when you get out of the bed

Bought this for our futon frame for guests coming for the holidays and this is the most uncomfortable cushion I have ever sat on.  Using it as both a couch and a bed, it has zero support and feels like you are sitting on the futon frame with no cushion.  Would absolutely not recommend!  If I could get my money back, I definitely would.
