The fabric is thin, the backrest could be a little softer, while the seat is comfortably soft, which as a bed is half soft and half hard. But for its price, utility and vanity, I'll give it a 5 stars.

It's a decent secondary couch if you are on a budget

I looked and looked for a couch for our Casita.  Finally I found this one and was so happy since it came in a box and we could fit it through the small door on the building.  The style is excellant with the curved arms and nutreul color.  It was easy to put together and has great support.  Will add extra pad for sleeping.  
Only negative was little beads that were in the package for moisture control.  When we opened the box they were all over and difficult to clean up.
Very satisfied with Walmarts communication and delivery.  The driver even had to walk through one foot of snow to reach our door.   Have just ordered two more orders through Walmart.  I think less costly than Amazon.

Assembly was not the easiest, step 3 took my husband and I awhile to get past.  After that it was smooth sailing, even with the troubled assembly I feel this still is a 5 star product.  The couch is so comfortable, sturdy, it almost seems like memory foam.  Our house hold has 2 adults, 2 young toddlers, 3 cats and a dog.  I did not want to spend a ton of money on a couch but I still wanted quality.  This couch has been a awesome addition to my living room and it is perfect for the lounging.  I purchased 2 grey leather lazy boy recliners, it matches great with the set.  We even make it a bed for movie living room family nights or weekend lazy mornings.  I have only had the couch for a couple of weeks now, if something breaks down and/or it is not sturdy anymore, I will update my review.  Thank you Jasper Coil Futon at this time you have been a great buy!

I was pleasantly surprised on the design and ease of assembling the unit. For the price point, I was expecting lower quality and some difficulty, but that was not the case. It is definitely easier to assemble with two people, so before attempting solo, reconsider calling someone for that extra hand. As far as the unit itself, it is fairly comfortable and folds down easily. The hidden leg supports when in the bed position is a great plus. Unzip the pocket to fold them out and then fold them back in and zip up the pocket when done. Throw in some end cushions and you have a good quality futon/couch at a reasonable price point. I have paid more for less in the past...My biggest concern, and time will tell, is that the arm rests may wear out fairly quickly (hence the addition of some end pillows) as there is not a lot of padding there. Otherwise, a good purchase in my opinion.

Fair Price for a Good/Very Good Piece of Furniture

Nice couch especially for the price! Firm yet comfortable. Easy to clean. Easy to assemble. Looks nice. The only downside is when it's used as a bed you can feel the metal support rods in it right on your hips. I will probably get a pad before sleeping on it again.

Perfect for the 3 of us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] one of the screw holes was incorrect, which technically means the couch isn't fully assembled (and physically couldn't be due to this pre-assembly factory mistake), but the return process would be too much of a hassle so I just kept it. If I had paid full price for this item I would have been very upset.

Want to spend three hours on a Thursday night putting together a futon that smells like feet? Literally the worst assembly experience I've ever had, and I've put together a lot of IKEA furniture in my time. The instructions are terrible, the angles you have to get the base into to put the arms on is a joke (you will absolutely need at least two people to assemble), the screw holes are not drilled properly so pieces won't go in, some of the screw holes were hidden under un-cut fabric. It also arrived in a heavily damaged box with a hole torn in the fabric (luckily in a place that you can't see when it's assembled and upright) and it smells TERRIBLE. Overall, for a $300 futon it's not bad - it looks stylish and is comfortable enough for use in our office as a place for guests to stay overnight if needed (but not a great place to spend too much time). But what a nightmare to put together.
