I bought this for my 6 year old son. It took some time to put it together, but this was expected. He absolutley loves the bed. The play are underneath allows for more floor space in an small room. It is the perfect height for a him because it is not as tall as most loft bed. This was a great purchase that he will love for years.

One 6year old is extremely happy

I ordered this item for pick up and the packaging was awesome the box had wheels to bring it up smoothly from the car to the house. Very difficult to set up but the end result is perfect. I would recommend the mattress to be 6" so the railings can protect my child. Overall very pleased.

Perfect fit.

I am very happy with this. It looks exactly as pictured & is very sturdy. My 4 year old daughter is using it & loving it. For the price it cannot be beat. Some advice.....FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY & CAREFULLY. If you do not follow the exact way the pieces line up in the picture you will have to take it apart. The holes have to line up for the next piece that attaches. It took us about 3 hours total to put it all together. The drawers were a little tough because the bars are tight & you have to squeeze it through. Overall it was pretty easy as long as you follow the steps properly.

this bed was the best deal with all the features we wanted! the storage steps are great! i was afraid a ladder would be a bit unsafe for my little one if she had to climb out of bed in the middle of the night to potty, so i searched for a loft bed with steps instead. the steps are very sturdy! much better then i even expected. she is so proud of her new bed. our ceilings are low so this junior size loft fits perfectly. she can still climb up and stand on her bed. the whole frame and everything is much sturdier then i thought. im so pleased. i would recommend this to anyone looking to update their childs room. she loves the space underneath for play. her older sister even loves the open play space below. this is one of the best pieces of furniture i have ever bought.

great bed for a little girl! she loves it!

I finally got this "Big Boy" bed for my 7yr old son. He LOVES it!!! It took a while for me and my bf to put it together (partially because we had a few slip ups in the direction of some of the poles and where they face) but all in all it wasn't very difficult to follow the instructions and construct it. (NOTE: PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE DIAGRAM PICS SO YOU DON'T MESS UP PART DIRECTIONS IN THE WAY THEY FACE ITS EASY TO MESS UP!). Overall, very nice sized bed, sturdy bed steps, and lots of room under to store items that would otherwise be where the bed is (height permitting).

Big Sturdy Bed!!! Great Price!!!

This is the PERFECT toddler height loft bed for our 3 year old. We opted for the version with stairs vs. the ladder since she had a hard time getting up/down her cousins' bunkbed with ladder. She can easily go up/down and crawl right up into bed, even dragging several toys with her. I love the fact that it is just the right height off the ground for us to check on her, make her bed, and she can even look out the window. We ended up with a mattress that is taller than the 6" requirement, so we just added a portable railing between the permanent metal railing on the bed and her mattress, which gives an extra 3-4" at top, and it works great.

Our 3 year old LOVES this bed!

I've only had the bed for the week, so far. But it's holding up very well. My son loves it. It does creak and groan a bit more than I expected, but I'm assuming that's just because it's a metal frame. The only issue was the struggle putting it together. All the parts were there, but I found that there were many times when things would have been easier if I read two steps ahead prior to completing a step. There were many times I had to undo something so that I could add the piece that was coming in the next step or two. Then, of course, things didn't always line up, or screws struggled to thread through properly, so there was more struggle than I expected there to be. By the end, I was shouting in anger and freaking everyone out in the house. But if you have more experience building stuff like this, you'll probably have an easier time than I did. Overall, it "seems" like a good bed for the price and again, my son is loving it.

DHP Junior Twin Loft Bed - My Review

I found it easy to assemble by myself, and being 7 months pregnant that's saying a lot. I used my screw driver and put a allen wrench head on the end which made all the difference. All in All I think is a great bed, not to low and not to high and plenty of play space underneath.

My 4 year old LOVES this bed!

We bought this bed for just 5 year old! Came home dilivery without problems! Took my husband 2 hours start to finish! Seems sturdy... My daughter loves the steps and storage! We bought the bakery curtain and that was her biggest like!! Curtain on top part is easily moved (could be a bit more sturdy) but overall good quality! The only reason I give it a 4 star is because its a bit more bulky than the slim design it claims! Because my daughter is youngest age has the smaller room in our house! In a larger room it would be OK; I had to remove one dresser from her room to have additional play space! Safety seems good; she won't fall off and if she did its not to far from the ground that I would really worry! The under space is long but very short... She has to sit to play and bend to get under... But so far she is having a blast! I made a long review because these were the questions I had when we were going to buy and I hope it helps! Good for smaller kids!

fun bed for a 5 year old!

Part missing, nightmare to order because you can't enter part number online and you have to wait a long time on the phone for customer service. It's not a 24 hour customer service either. Don't bother to call during their lunch hour, they won't answer. 2 rails came bent, the fire department cover should have all had velcro to hold it. The strings you have to tie already came off within the week. It's just a naked loft now. Only gave 2 star because bed still holding up.
