Ease Of Mixing

This set includes twelve .4 ounce tubes of watercolors. The watercolors mix beautifully and make excellent washes. Each tube is sealed and you flip the cap to puncture the top before use. They worked very well for our home art projects.

Daler-Rowney Simply Watercolor Paint Set, 12 piece

walmart.com

First time ever buying water colors. So far I am pleased.

These watercolors are beautiful and does the job for me.I'm no artist by far,but love to do my own abstract and color.I'm 63 years old and this keeps me occupied and to focus on my concentration.Thank you wal-mart for excellent service and delivery

excellent

A lot of paint for the price! Very happy with purchase!

Great deal!

Packaging is fine. The paint colors are vibrant and can be stretched a really long way with water usage. They also blend very well.

Only drawback overall is the method for opening each tube. You need to reverse the cap in order to use it to punch the foil covering the tip of the tube. Be sure NOT to accidentally squeeze the tube before or during the puncturing process, or the paint will ooze out of the tube and all over the place.

Also, strangely enough, the tube we received that should have been "Primary Red", as it was labeled, turned out to be a flesh color. Weird! Need the actual red. :/

Watercolor Tubes

Great for Artists

not artist quality but fun to learn with. squeezed out and dried in palette without cracking, re wet like normal. not artist pigments I'm sure, so they will fade with time. slightly chalky when dry but still they paint surprisingly well. if use a lot of water in a well it sometimes acts like a jello, assume plenty of glycerin in this set.

affordable for beginners

They are just barely above ok. You'd probably just about better off buying one of the cheap dry pallettes. Colors are weak. If you try to concentrate them enough to have a strong color they won't spread or flow correctly.

If you can swing the cost, just grab a starter palette of student grade paints from Windsor and Newton like their Cotman line. They aren't that much more expensive but are a world apart in quality.

Skip if you can afford to

These are pretty good paints, however there aren't the vibrant ones I thought. Just the basics. But for the price, it really can't be beat. Thanks!

Simply watercolors

I bought these for a college art project while in a rush and needed something cheap. Never again. They are incredibly uneven on the paper, they have barely any pigment at all, they are not buildable either. When you try to layer them up, the product moves around underneath. If you want some cheap watercolors for the same price, try the royal and langnickel tubes.

Artists/Art students be aware! Horrible!!

Daler-Rowney Simply Watercolor Tubes set of 24 water-based student quality paints in 12ml tubes, packaged in a box featuring blue and white swirl artwork, suitable for conventional watercolor surfaces with intermixable colors for varied artistic use.
