[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to repair hail damage on our aluminum siding before painting. It filled in dents and was easy to apply, dried and sanded to a smooth finish. It looks great. Appreciated how easy it was to work with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately the bottom was cracked but did not affect product. Shippers throw hundreds of thousands of packages everyday.  I used to work in a facility that ships 40,000 a day. Damage is common.

Product fine but handling is another question

Great

Repairing cracks on the top surface of a treated 6"x6" of a retaining wall.  After ~35 years, starting to look a little ragged. The filler worked great, great adhesion, easy to apply.  Dries REALLY hard, but have had success sanding it with 60 grit with cordless sander.  Too bad it's so bright white, but will paint (high quality latex) to match the rest of the stained wall.  Would buy and use again, for sure!
It would be neat if they could figure out a way to let users blend in colors to make it less bright white.  Or sell different colors of it...

I'm thrilled at how easy this made the job and how good the results look.

This works better than regular wood filler to repair fence aging. Great  consistency for filling the spacees. Clings well to wood, and doesn't instead cling to your spatula/fingers. On larger holes, stays as a hunk that you've put in. I was able to shape the bottom of raggedy boards, so they look newer, and paint would stick. 

Key is to use a little water to smooth it over. Makes sanding go quickly. I didn't find it hard to sand using 60 grade. Dries quickly. Easy to paint over and looks invisible. I noticed drying in the can, so I switched to putting a bunch in plastic wrap to use rather than leaving the container open.

I think it dries white. When I called dap, they said this doesn't need primer. The wood filler needs primer to avoid moisture seeping in overtime. 

I found it looked best if you don't glop it on, but really use some water and some sanding to make it blend in with the wood. Then when you paint on it, you wouldn't notice. Whereas if you glop it on gets that look like you repaired and painted.

Love how easy it made the job

It sure does what it says that it does. The 1 reason why I gave it a 4 star is because maaaan, that stuff is hard to sand down. If your just doing a small hole or little patch work fine. I had a customer ask me to use it in 2 exterior ceilings where he used hardy board. So I filled in all seams and screw holes. Took me 5 days to putty it all and sand it all completely down.

Good product

The product may be fine, but the packaging was definitely not! The lid of the container was partially opened and some of the contents were dried out.  At the very least a product like this should be either taped shut or put in a separate plastic bag before boxing.  This is two orders in as many days, That have not been packaged correctly.
