Never thought I'd be inclined to try stewed prunes (aka. "old people food" lol, just kidding), but here we are. :) And you know what? These are really good! I've always been a fan of fresh plums (and dried prunes), but this is the first time I've tried them in stew-form. The prunes are sweet yet tart and the sugary syrup is lovely as well. One thing to note is that these are WHOLE plums (including PITS), which I absolutely did NOT expect - luckily I noticed this pretty quickly (I'd assume there should be SOME sort of statement that the prunes contain pits on the jar somewhere, Del Monte??). So a word of warning on that.  Anyway, these stewed prunes are tasty. Glad I gave them a go!

We have enjoyed stewed prunes for decades. This Del Monty product is very nice. Several prunes a day will help things move along their way well...

We always enjoyed Del Monte's stewed prunes but now they are in plastic jars not glass. The result is a prune that is not stewed but leathered. We have stopped buying them and are looking for a product in glass jars. I noticed all the other reviews are years old before Del Monte made the decision to go cheap.
