Everything about this Walmart offering *looks* underwhelming but isn't.  In the photo, the evacuated plastic bag looks small, but it's larger than a sheet of standard letter-paper (although not very thick).  The red and black Delicious Kitchen label obscures the dried mushrooms themselves, but all of them -- each and every one -- is whole and nicely trimmed.  And, of course, the mushrooms rehydrate and swell up like crazy, adding a lovely, earthy flavour to any stirfry.  A friend suggested using the water the mushrooms have soaked in for part of the makings of au jus: a bonus I'd never thought of, myself, and a great success.  Yes, they're costly but also yes, they're a lovely, flavourful treat that'll keep (dried) in your pantry for many, many months.

A good buy

I love to make stir fries and buying fresh shitake mushrooms is expensive. Dehryated mushrooms is the answer. This bag should be enough for 4 meals.

Great mushrooms and a large bag

We've been buying SugarBee whenever we can find them the past 4 years and my entire family is hooked! My husband and kids request a SugarBee apple OVER candy - and my little ones eat the entire thing (almost EVERY time).
