This flat-front pant sits below the waist and has a slim fit through the seat and thigh with a straight leg. Made with a crisp, wrinkle-resistant poly/cotton twill work cloth, its woven for durability and longevity and has a stain-release finish to prevent stains from setting in. These pants are my favorite. Very nice slim fit, and just as tough as the original 874s. They aren't slim like a skinny pant, but they are a tad bit slimmer than the classic 874, giving a nice slim look to the legs and seat. I would recommend sizing up though, the pant has a very small/short rise, and it could feel tight I. The groin if you are bigger or heavier. If very slim or skinny, you're good with regular size. I'm heavy, so I ordered a 36, instead of my usual 34, and they fit just right. Awesome pants. I do wish and hope that Dickies could add more colors to the 873 Slim line.

Great Slim Pants

Solid, substantial and a little stylish trousers with slimmer legs for work. I buy these every year for my son who works at a hospital and needs sturdy pants with lots of pockets and many heavy-duty belt loops to support a belt laden with toggles and key rings. They keep a nice crease when ironed and stay black after daily wear and washing. My only wish is to have them offered in 29” inseam.

Solid, substantial and a little stylish

Ordered two pairs and they were both sized the same - honestly this is an improvement over past orders where some pants of the same size and cut were noticeably different.  Good job.

Color and shape has held up after a couple washings.  
I may go for a slightly lighter/softer fabric next time as these are pretty warm and I spend most of my time in an office.

Just what I wanted!

Purchased for my son for work, they fit perfectly material is high quality and  overall is well-made. Will be buying again. Wish they carried it in store, but glad at least it's available online.

873 Slim Fit

My husband swears by Dickies pants, he has worn them for 40 years. The Originals run small so he wears 36 x 32.  He asked me if they sold slim fit because his pants were too baggy in the butt and legs, so I ordered slim fit in the same size.  Well the waist on the slim fit are much bigger and I should've ordered a size down.  I wish Dickies had sizes that were consistent.

The waist sizes do vary. I ordered a few different pairs and some were perfect fit and some much tighter.

These pants are not true to size, and they are also inconsistent. I bought 3 pairs of the same pants - not only did none of them fit, but each of them fit differently. I don't know what happened but the quality has really fallen off.

Not a good fit

I bought these oants 2 weeks ago and the inside seam on the left leg, about knee level, is alreqdy starting to tear.

Seams tearing

I don't know who these pants are made for. The crotch is so shallow that there's no room for your junk, the thighs are so tight that moving is a chore, and the lower leg is exceptionally baggy in huge contrast to the restricting thigh area. I would have returned these had I not accidentally taken all the tags off beforehand.

DON'T BUY THESE PANTS
