Glad I didn't listen to all the reviews and went with what I liked.  Although this took 4 weeks to receive, it was worth the wait!  It is beautiful, sturdy and just the right size.  It is smaller than anticipated but perfect for the 2 of us!  We have not put anything in it yet but only because there is a lot of storage and I can't decide if I want to use as storage or make a bar!  It arrived delivered by a private delivery service in perfect condition, nothing was damaged or missing.  Delivery men were very nice.  They will not carry into your home so be sure you have someplace like a garage for them to put it in.  It took exactly 2 hours for the 2 of us to put together.  We took our time and it was very easy.  The only minor things I would say is the directions could of used a few more words and the 2 drawers could use metal pieces for gliding.  It is basically just wood on wood but they slide easy and very good sized!  The stool seats are nice.  They are small but nothing that I am complaining about.  We plan to get stools with backs anyway.   We literally just put together so no issues to report.  I would definitely recommend!

We love this island. We purchased from Walmart due to it cost $300 less than other stores, selling identical product under different name. It came in one huge box. Box had damage, but it was very well packaged and everything was in perfect condition. I was hesitant about building it due to some negative reviews. However, I built it alone, took my time and it was really simple. The cam locks were my least favorite part, would have turn multiple times until felt the lock. My son did help me turn it over when I needed it upright, would been difficult alone.  The drawers don't have slides, as slide on wood, but I think it'll be fine. It is good material. I wish the back piece where bar stools sat, was thicker, but still solid. I wanted a solid countertop not the foldable kind, it is very sturdy. The countertop does have couple spots look like water spots, but not a big deal. We are using placemats to protect the surface from heat and water.  I plan recover the surface with contact paper, if it does peel as other reviews stated.  Overall, ignore negative reviews, keep cam lock loose so can bolt tighten easier, read that from another review, very helpful.

We added seat cushion and cover to make the stools more comfortable. I changed knobs to match my coastal theme kitchen

Great solid piece with lots storage

It took a while to get here and I have a replacement on the way because first got lost (we thought), but really happy with how well it was packaged and quality for the price! It came with all the pieces and fit together well and feels very solid. Love the look. Just what we were looking for!

Holes for shelves were drilled in the wrong space. We had to drill our own holes. Door does not line up. See photo.

The cam and cam locks instead of plain screws or nails to assemble made for a difficult job. The top was damaged, chipped wood on the edge. We don't notice until we picked it up to install. Would not buy a dorel product again.

Not even two weeks into having this thing and the finish on the countertop wore in spots. No chemicals were used, no abrasives, no excessive moisture and it peeled so easily. There is an extremely thin finish on the top and flecks of it peeled back all over. I have had this thing for less than 5 months and its garbage already. For $500 I could have bought one with a real stone top. The particle board wood is very cheap, the hardware is very cheap and the shelves already fell a few times from a gallon water jug being placed on it. There isnt even a hinge on the cabinet door but a plastic stopper. The drawer has a plastic flap instead of tracks. COMPLETE  TRASH! I wish I could return it and get my money back.

BEWARE OF CHEAP GARBAGE

This is by far the worst piece of furniture we have ever bought (I know you may think we're exaggerating, buts it's true). Almost half the parts came extremely damaged, with some of the damaged parts colored in with a sharpie, like they thought we wouldn't notice…(we got the black version). We contacted the manufacturers and they shipped the new parts to us quickly, however these parts don't even fit the initial parts we received. My partner are beyond shocked by how poorly this is built and how damaged the items we recieved were. Our suggestion: DON'T BUY! I wish we could give it less than one star.

Worst product we've ever bought!

We were in the middle of building the island only to find a main piece missing. Then when putting the stools together the seat holes do not match the holes on the stools. I paid a lot of money for this, maybe not a lot to you but I am so disappointed in this product. It is all over my kitchen waiting for this part. I would return this and ask for a FULL refund if it wasn't such an inconvenience.

received nov 2nd 2022, 8 pieces were chipped damaged etc. did not have a choice because i needed this for Thanksgiving so put it together. was sturdy seemed ok but knew the top wasnt going to hold up as that was one of the damged pieces and seen the grain appearance of wood was a thin plastic like coating. well its February 7th 2023 and its shot. all the original chips have gotten worse and the top although a cutting board was always used is destroyed, it flakes pieces just from wiping it. the material has discolored due to almond extract dripping ( how crazy) , water and heat even with a protector so if you're buying this its not usable, an island can not have this type of material as the top. what a waste.
