When the weather warms up I'll be sure to crank up the AM06 instead of the A/C. This unit doesn't take up too much energy, and it's extremely quiet. I'm excited for the hot summer heat ahead of me! Aside from the cooling aspect itself, this unit is extremely sleek, and the magnetic remote is perfect for adjustments across the room.

Silent and Efficient

Dyson

This fan is absolutely wonderful. It easily surpasses other fans I've owned in the past. The Dyson fan offers a multitude of wind speeds and is so much quieter than other fans I've owned. I use it in conjunction with central air conditioning in a room with a large skylight which needs a boost because of the additional heat. A handy remote is included with the fan, allowing easy and accurate positioning of airflow. There is even a timer function and an oscillating mode. It can also be tipped forward to customize the angle. The fan looks like modern art and has the feel of luxury in its simple, understated, elegant design. Small children and pets can be safe around this fan. For me this fan is fantastic and I would recommend it to others without hesitation.

Dyson AM06 Fan

Traditional fans have always been big and loud if they did their job adequately. The Dyson fan, however, is the perfect solution. It's small enough, and even looks nice enough, to sit on a nightstand, but it packs a punch in air circulation. It's quiet enough to use in a bedroom as well, which is where we use it to keep the room cool at night.

As an allergy and asthma sufferer, the dust that seems to always gather on a traditional fan would usually keep me from using it. The blades are impossible to clean, and who wants to blow dust everywhere in the house? Again, the Dyson solves this problem. The entire fan can easily be wiped down. There aren't any dirty, dusty blades to deal with at all. This also makes it a safer fan for families with younger children and pets.

The only suggestion I have for improving this fan would be to make the remote work without having to point it directly at the fan.

I'm definitely going to try a Dyson heater next.

Solves all the problems of a traditional fan!

As a Dyson vacuum owner, I knew their fan would be great because the vacuums are great. I have this fan sitting on my dresser about 12 feet away from my bed and I can still feel the air blowing on me!! My bedroom is in my basement and on cool spring and fall evenings my husband and I need a fan because the AC doesn't come on as much, this has now replaced the big bulky tower fan we had. Bonus is that it looks sleek, doesn't take up much room, rotates like you would expect, and NO BLADES! So if I need it anywhere else I can move it and not have to worry about my kids hurting themselves! Wish I had gotten one sooner!

Love it!

Lovely clean design, perfect tabletop size. Very quiet - even at top speed. Easy to clean, no dusty blades. The only problem is I couldn't train my cat to jump through the hoop :)

Great quiet fan

This fan is quiet to the point that it is easy to forget that it is on. The remote makes it so very user friendly. It will move a lot of air at the higher settings but at the lower settings you can adjust so that the cooling effect is almost imperceptible. Lovely. I really like this fan.

AM06

As one would expect from a Dyson, the build quality and attention to detail are excellent. From the soft-touch plastic on both the fan and the remote, to the slight curvature and flush buttons of the remote, it instantly feels a cut above other fans.

Although definitely quieter than any conventional fan I've tried, it was actually louder than I expected - possibly because the ambient noise in stores where I tested the fan was much higher than at home. Realistically, if used on a desk, I suspect any moderately high fan speed would be too much, so it's liable to be used at the lower, quieter speeds. I have the fan placed on a table at the side of the living room and use it to cool the room, so it's far enough away from the seating position that the noise at higher speeds isn't particularly audible except in monastery-like silence.

If I had one complaint, it would be that the power button on the fan itself requires a little too much pressure to trigger. Given that one is pushing against a freestanding fan, it shouldn't require much to trigger, lest it actually move the fan - on the few occasions where I've been close enough to use the power button, rather than the remote, the pressure required to trigger the button has resulted in the fan moving backwards. A touch-sensitive - or at least, more sensitive - button wouldn't be out of place.

A thing of beauty

Have been using the AM06 desk fan for a couple weeks in my office and really enjoy the fan. Moves air nicely and quitely. On fan speeds 1-6 you can easily have phone conversaion and not hear the fan, fan speed 7-10 will make a small amount of noise, but it is not terrible or unbearable. Went on a business trip, got back home and my wife has taken the fan from my office and moved it to the living room. (Don't think I will get this back.) This is our third product from Dyson and we are very pleased. Will contonue to use Dyson products. Thanks for building a quality product.

AM06 Desk Fan

The fan has great aesthetics and is very eye catching. It also happens to work very well. It is whisper quiet, rotates and moves a lot of air and helps to keep me cool on hot Texas days when I don't want to blast my A/C. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Best Desk Fan I have ever owned

Fan is elegant and easy to set up just like other Dyson products. However it lacks in air power and cooling.

Elegantly designed but lacks in cooling and power

Does nothing to cool the air!! Purchased it on misleading advise, but after 6 hours in a small bedroom on max speed, the temperature increased. Actual cooling effect by air flow is no better than a regular fan despite Dysons claims about air buffeting. Honestly cannot understand how the price of this product is justified, or how so many customers are duped into believeing it ‘cool's the room'...

What a let down
