Reading reviews, I pulled the trigger on these speakers. First impressions and early thoughts follow:
• Not a "forward" in-your-face sound-stage. I'm so happy about this. Their sound-stage and imaging are about where the speakers are placed with a little in front and behind them.  Those bright, forward speakers you hear in a showroom will get on your nerves after a while so this is good news.

• Tonal balance/sound. As balanced and as described in other reviews. Detailed and revealing mids; and bass/treble when present in the music. Overall very even and pleasant.

• If I say "detailed and revealing" then what I mean is that I suddenly found the differences in the recording and production of my CDs. Which previously I did not notice. It takes a fairly neutral speaker to bring this out and resolve that information. It's a two-edged sword though because when getting into better levels of Hi-Fi gear, these things are brought out.

• Voice reproduction is great. Again, partly owing to it not being so forward, I can play vocal music from all genre and it sounds engaging and never grating or harsh.

Highly recommended if you want to step into that middle level of equipment between everyday consumer gear and the high end. 
Mid-Fi ?

Highly recommended for sub-$1000 range. I like them better than anything I owned so far including Pyramid Met-7, Magnepan MMG, and Pinnacle. They remind me of Celestion SL6 in the 1980s but half the price. Really great value.
