I purchased this item to hang Christmas garlands so it didn't need to carry heavy weight. However,  I am impressed with how sturdy it was between my 72in doorway. I put most of my weight on it and it still held in place. What i really like about it is how easy it is to adjust! With just a twist of the rod, the tension is released and all you need to do is pop it up tight between two end walls and twist again. No fumbling!

This rod was perfect for my needs. Traditional curtain rod brackets wouldn't stay in the wall. This rod fit perfectly

Window Tension Rod

This is a heavy duty curtain rod works as explained in the product description. First setting it up you may get frustrated but the secret to set the rod is to 
1) Set one side at the right position/height 
2) Is to set the rod to the desired length first and 
3) Push it from the inside of the window towards the top so it could sit tight on both ends.

They are okay

This is not a spring tension bar. You have to extend it, then twist it to lock it. If it is not precisely the right tension, you have to unlock it and do it all over again. Over and over. Not a great design.
