when i bought my new 'all in one' pc, i neglected to realize it didnt come with a dvr drive. I like to download music and record on cds., I bought this one and am pleased with the extra usb ports in the back as the pc only had one extra, and i can burn music cds again. im 66 and not a computer whiz, so if i can get it up an running, anyone can

Was a little dubious of buying based on some reviews that said their computer didn't recognize it etc., but I connected it and the pc set it up instantly. Been using it and everything works great. Only thing would be is that I wish it burned a little faster but that's not a big deal.

Love this drive

I still have some archive files on disc that I needed to access.  This product was priced right and available quickly.  It was  basically PNP and works as expected right from the box.  There are also cable options that increase the usability that weren't available with some of the other devices.

Well I was really surprised by the great price for this item. I had a slight problem with the connecting of the USB cables to my laptop. But it was my bad. The item has 2 cables to power it. 1 reg USB and 1 C cable. I didn't know. I first had both cables plugged in at the same time when you only need 1 or the other. But not both at the same time. Once I figured that part out it works flawless as advertised. Just plug and play. The drivers are already there in the Win 11 operating system. I would definitely recommend to purchase this item or repurchase this item.

Works as described.  Most computers don't come with the CD drive anymore and I still have files (%26 old apps) stored on CD's.
Only complaint is that it is very light weight but it works fine.

Finopo USB 3.0 External CD/DVD Drive

Very good value.  I purchased a CD drive for my computer.  It is very easy to use.  I have played CDs on it from day one with no installation.  Just plug and go.

Instructions were exceedingly vague. If you plan to buy this, I hope you have some prior knowledge about how a computer's OS/file system and device recognition system works, because otherwise, you're gonna have to wrangle with phrases like “Open file “My computer”” (??). And as a side note, I DID, before peeking into my Windows computer's control panel, spotting the device, and working from there. Not sure if this is just the case with my laptop.
Despite my scathing opener, the device works well, VLC media player runs whatever CDS/DVDS you insert wonderfully. Haven't tried burning any CDS yet, may update if I do.

I still save some important information on a cd. This inexpensive addition to my computer setup allows me to continue archiving, since today's computers generally don't have cd drives. It's not superior construction, but it's more than good enough for my needs.

Easy to use

I was looking for an inexpensive external DVD player to stream some DVDs online with a few friends.  The "installation" was very easy as it was just plug into a USB port. However, my pc only has ports on the top, so the short cord was an issue.  I ended up ordering a long USB cord with male on one end and female on the other. On initial connection, my system asked me if I wanted to use a video program I had installed previously which does work okay with the DVD player. There are both free and purchasable programs in the Microsoft store (I use an IBM compatible). My player did not come with the power cord. I contacted the seller but never received word back. I purchased the 2-year additional warranty just in case. As I purchased the player on sale, it was worth it to me. 

I have not used the player for anything else but am happy with the way it works. I may do some looking at other programs to see if I can find a better one. Although, the listing does not say you need the additional software, the box does note that you will need to install a VLC Media Player or Other Software. I ended up ordering a second one (which did have a power cord) after my niece was asking about mine to go with her laptop. It is really light weight, and you can tell the case is made of basic plastic. I am not sure how these will hold up in regular use or travel use, but I am hoping to get at least a year out of them. It does look as shown in the photo in the listing (minus the missing power cord). It should be noted in the photo the cords and memory cards are only there for reference to show you the type of items that go into those slots on the DVD player.

I never got a chance to use it because it didn't have the Blu-ray with it which is what I need also finally I found one that has all of it and it's being sent to me now I guess it's a good product
