So far so good in setting it up. But find the instructions lack. BILD does not have my model number and I need more instruction on the side burner

Issues with instructions

napoleon.com

All as ordered, no mishaps, no confusion, delivered ahead of the scheduled date, a totally enjoyable experience.
Thank you.

Napoleon Bbq

The side burner, most of the time cannot started on first click. There was only one time , perhaps out of miracle, it started on first click.
The rest I am happy with it. I especially like the cast iron wave cooking grids.

Side burner not working well

The grill is a lot hotter than our previous one so I'm slowly getting used to the heat from it and it's been a while to get used to

Hotter than my previous one

The quality of the product seems great and nice even heat. Since I have not had it for long I cannot commit to five stars yet but definitely one of the best grills i have had compared to others in the same amount of time.

Great grill thus far

The bbq is great for the most part. A few details leave something to be desired. The drip pan doesn't line up very well so it hits the edge and drips a bit into the bottom beside the propane tank. The door doesn't latch solidly either (the magnet is terrible and small). The side burner runs very hot even at the lowest temperature which is a bit annoying as you have to get something to raise it so it isn't so close to the flame if you don't want to burn whatever you have on there.

Overall good but small things that reduce overall rating

The bbq works very well though I would have preferred a larger warming grid since I used it a lot on my previous bbq. The unit heats up quite hot even on the lowest setting so I would like to use the warming grid to cook some foods which can burn quickly without having to check on them constantly. The setup instructions were not best that I have seen. I had to go back and disconnect the side burner in order to connect the ignition wire to the burner control before installing it to the front panel. It was the only way that I could see how to line up the plug properly to do the connection. Also, the front door does not stay closed since the magnetic catch doesn't hold it shut the same way the display model in the store did. Finally, why are there eight bolts left over? I followed the instructions as shown.

Good Product with some quality control issues

Team

After a year of use, the burners only work at full power or at a minimum, which leaves me almost no margin to adjust the intensity of the heat. In addition, the burner protectors have completely rusted in just one year.

Does the job, but disappointing for the reputation

Well built barbeque, good size, quality components. Instructions for assembly are not for the faint of heart. I was stuck in the first step for 30 minutes until I found a sheet somewhere else in the box with alternate steps related to mystery throw away components not mentioned in the instruction manual. Some steps were hard to follow because of small pictorials. Biggest complaint is that the magnet for the door has the strength of a very small ant.

Good product, poor instructions

We bought a Napoleon about 15 years ago and it just died. Money well spend. We decided to get another one based on our previous experience. I must say the quality on this BBQ is nowhere near what our old one was.

Freestyle™ 425 SB

Broken BBQ, poor service. I don’t think you can buy that kind of stuff again at Walmart. Costco next to it all are stars.

Broken BBQ, excruciating service

Napoleon Freestyle 425 Propane Gas BBQ Grill with Range Side Burner, Graphite Grey front-facing outdoor grill with enclosed cart on rugged wheels, four stainless steel burners, integrated range side burner, cast-iron porcelainized enamel cooking grids and ACCUPROBE temperature gauge, 425 in² (3715.5 cm²) main grilling area. Often used as a portable tailgate grill.
