So for 9 years I've been trying to seal my back sun porch which has an aluminum roof. My son and i coated it 4 times, I had a contractor coat it twice and I coated it another 4 times last Spring.  But it still leaked and got considerably worse as time went by.  I thought, what the h%$l, let's give it a try im running out of options.  I sealed the roof prior to a storm so i could get a good test of the seal and NOT 1 DROP! I can't believe it! Although it's only been a month i feel it did the job, time will truly tell but i couldn't be happier.

We've had an on-going problem with our 20 year old fiberglass/gelcoat shower/tub. The leak started as a small hairline crack in the bottom and has grown to 2-3". Over the last 3 years I've patched it twice with the Gelcoat Repair Kits which last a while, but begin leaking again. I did some research and decided to give Flex Paste a try. I covered the leaking area with Flex Paste and have been leak free for a couple of weeks. It seems like a solid repair and we'll see how long it lasts. I like that I can spread the Flex Paste well beyond the crack.

Flex Paste - Fixes Shower Tub/Leak

I bought both Flex Seal spray and Flex Paste at the same time. The Flex Seal spray worked great, and turning the can upside down and spraying until it clears after each use allowed me to use the  spray, a little at a time, over a 2 week period without any clogging.
The Flex Paste came with about an inch thick ring of the paste hardened at the top. Using the suggestions of leaving the remaining paste level and resealing with the protective foil and silica pack allowed me to use a little at a time over a two week period without any further hardening or waste. Luckily I didn't need that amount that was hardened when it was delivered. But yeah, it worked great layering it on every other day, allowing each layer to dry between coats.

Flex Paste experience

It's a great product, BUT, unless flexseal finds a better a better way to package their product expect to lose 1/3 . The top one third of every tub has already solidified when you open it.  In essence you're paying for 2/3 of whatever is marked on the tub. I've got a bunch of solid donuts from each tub if anybody wants them. THAT ALUMINUM FOIL ON TOP IS NOT DOING THE JOB.

This is a great product..... however, only 3 Stars because I expect to get what I pay for!  I purchased the 6 lb. tub, so I expected to get 6 lbs of usable product.  But when I opened the container I found a dried ring approximately an inch and a half wide and deep around the top of the tub.  I paid for 6 lbs but only received 5 lbs of usable product.  This not the first time either.  I have purchased a total of three of the 6 lb. tubs and three 1 lb. sizes over the last two years and ALL of them have the same issue. So, if you need the amount you paid for you will need to order and pay more or purchase another brand.

Don’t Get What You Pay For

When I got the jar the outside of the paste was already hardened. About 1" around the jar. I used the inside of the jar and it was ok. I am not good at stuff like this and then I saw the spray kind and that is what I should have ordered to begin with!

The stuff works!

Seal membrane inside bucket only contacted product on 2inches diameter out of 4 5/8” diameter bucket.  Made about 10-20% of bucket unusable because it had hardened into an inch plus thick donut. Tried to patch a crack in wet tar on roof and paste wouldn’t stick just rolled up onto other side of putty knife. Worked good on A/C hole in window.

It works as described to use under water . But I warn anyone trying to use this product in their Koi fish pond.. Do not use!  I attempted to use this to stop a leaky water skimmer. Although, so far my fish seem unharmed, Flex Paste leaves a large oily film on top of the water. It is virtually impossible to get rid of without fully draining and washing your pond out.

No good for koi ponds!

Garbage product. The paste is hard as a rock and completely unusable.

Stay away from this stuff

totally failed to live up to what was advertised. i was trying to seal cracks in a fiberglas tub. it didn't stick, just slid across surface as i tried to spread. spent a lot of money on a total failure. i  fixed the problems by using epoxy and fiberglas tape.
