Took about 1 1/2 hours to assemble. Solid construction with a great price! I've seen similar units at other stores for double the price. Beautiful espresso color. Love it! We are using it in my son's room to display his lego sets but it is a timeless piece which can be used in any room.

Quite possibly the easiest piece of furniture that I've ever put together.  Great look, great price.  And very steady, even without using the wall brackets.  I am so impressed that I'm ordering 2 more to complete a display wall for my kids' Lego obsession :)

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the product for the price. The black painted finish is durable and there are no blemishes. The instructions on how to assemble the shelf were somewhat challenging.

Great quality for the price

It was easy to put together once you figure out all of the parts. The  difficult part to assemble was the last piece at the bottom, took me some time to figure out how to attach the piece.

Love how it looks

This is the second ladder bookcase I ordered from Walmart because I thought the first one was terrific. Bigger than I expected and solid. Currently have two flanking the television and it makes the room look very stylish. Pleasantly surprised with the overall look.

Great Purchase!

Overall good shelf for price and fairly easy to assemble. I would recommend. We used in our office/workout room.

Nice shelf

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bookshelf is cute, but not sturdy at all. I had to lean it up against the wall and it still sways when I put things on it.

Not sturdy

We purchased similar shelves from another retailer, and when we decided we wanted 2 more just like them, the other retailer didn't have them any more. When we saw these on Walmart.com at a slightly lower price than our other shelves, we thought they might be comparable in quality. They are not. They are not nearly as sturdy and well-made, and the finish was already chipping off in places right out of the box. We will be returning them.
