This is basically a reusable pod. There are 2 sets in the package and a few filters. Follow simple instructions. You do not have to remove the unit inside the kuerig to use this pod. Like I said, it acts as a single serve pod. Fill with coffee and cover with lid and place in the kuerig as you would a normal disposable single serve pod. Once coffee is made take pod out and throw away the filter with the uses coffee grounds and replace with a new one for the next cup of coffee. Very simple!

All the reviews I read on this product were right. I love this little wonder! It is very easy to use and ensures that your Keurig brews a perfect cup of your favorite coffee every time. The hardest thing about this is getting the lid off, but even with my hurting hands I can do it. I did buy one of the cheaper, basket type cups and don't like it nearly as much as I like this Melitta. The basket one is harder to get the spent coffee out of and doesn't always ensure a even, mess free coffee flow like this one does. Excellent buy at a very affordable price!

Love this!

We tried these when the My K cup reusable filter kept leaving sediment and a bitter taste in our cup of coffee. I'm very glad we gave them a try! Now our coffee is smooth like it used to be. The system is so easy to use that my 6 year old can do it, just turn the black inside piece upside down, top with a filter and place on the green outside and press till its down all the way. Just a tip don't hold the filter when you are placing the green on top it gets off centered.  Add your coffee- i have found that if you use a smaller measuring spoon and lightly tap the pod on the counter you can get all your coffee into the pod and you can close the lid without coffee grams coming out the top hole.  After you brew  just reverse to clean, but only after you enjoy your sentiment free smooth cup of coffee!

These work really well with my Keurig and I'm very happy to be able to use the locally roasted excellent coffee.

Fabulous for Keurig

I bought these for a Hamilton Beach single serving coffee maker. These are not meant for that use but they work good enough for me. If they were about a 1/2 inch longer they would be really great.

Works for what I need

I've tried many different reusable K-Cups but the Melitta JavaJig is my favorite. Easiest clean up and great coffee every time. Just be sure to not overfill them.

Best K-Cup replacement

I had an original set for quite some time, and the little prongs broke, so I bought this to replace it -- I had purchased a boatload of filters, and I didn't want them to go to waste. This set is a bit different. The design change isn't bad, but my complaint is that I cannot find these at ANY store, so I had to order them online. I really like this product, but I fear that its going the way of the Dodo. I think once I use up the filters I already have, I may not be able to use this device any longer. The filters are getting harder to find. Also, the filters don't fit the same for some reason. It's odd. Hard to explain to someone who has never used these before.  I like that I can toss the used filter -- this is easier to clean than the reusable plastic filters.

Changed a bit

The filters are good. Hard to find.  However, the holders these are to be place in  - I wish were not made of plastic.

not quite sure. but it's not what I thought I was ordering. it is quite a bit different.

A waste - the grounds come up and end up in the coffee - you have to filter the coffee and reheat it - not recommend to anyone - pay the extra and use the keurig cups if you can find a decent tasting one -- we haven't found a brand that we like real well yet - may go back to regular brew and pitch the whole mess.

It sucks!
