This cake was very good! Dark, rich, boozy and flavorful.  I found the texture much too smooth for my tastes, but many people like a pudding-like consistency for their black cake. I'm squarely in the slightly grainy crumb camp.  I also prefer some chucks of fruit in my black cake, whereas this cake had none.  Though not 100% to my preferences, there was nothing wrong with the cake. It just isn't like Auntie Used to Make. Since her passing, this is the next best thing. 

I'll definitely buy it again.

Good Cake

I am so disappointed in this cake that cost me $83.00 This cake with the texture of a brownie. The top seems not to be cooked, the dough remains stuck after the teeth and as for the fruits I found a half cherry and nothing else in a cake tip! I would like to get refunded or return it There is only a small tip to eat.I find it a shame that I have to put this in the trash!! I do not recommend this cake to anyone, because it is really bad to taste and the awful texture.......sorry!
