These flats were comfortable fr the first moment I slipped them on. I did not need time to break them in. They are extremely comfortable. It's important to note that these are leather on the inside too. A lot of companies are skimping on the insoles and using a synthetic leather which doesn't allow the feet to breathe. Perfect!

Ballet flat done right!!

The Frye Company

This is my 3rd pair of these flats. They are my go to office shoe! Professional looking, comfortable (after a short break in period), and so easy. Just slip them on, they match almost everything. The toe coverage is perfect. There's no silly bow or elastic. If you can afford them, I recommend 100%!
 
 I wear them to the office everyday for 12 hour work days and they usually last about a year before I've worn holes through the bottom of my shoe. If I was more conscientious, I could probably get them resoled before this happens. As I wear them without socks, I'll probably stick to buying new ones instead.

My favorite flats

5 stars for quality and style. Unfortunately my usual size 8 was unavailable so ordered the 8.5 which sometimes I do wear. They were too big and cut really low around the arch so the 8 wouldn't have worked either. If you have a high arch these probably won't work for you either. Disappointing.

Cute shoes

The Carson Ballet shoes are beautifully made. Leather, inside and out, is supple like all Frye products are. I've been buying Frye shoes and boots for over 30 years. I was never disappointed. My All of my slip-ons and mules are size 8. My booties are 7.5. I haven't worn these yet, because surprisingly, the size 8 is too big. I'm going to buy insoles to tighten them up. This is not worth a return, because the problem will be easily remedied. Thank you Frye for consistently making high quality footwear.

Fine, fine leather!

I bought one pair in black and after wearing them for a few days, I ordered a second pair in brown. They are so comfortable, beautiful color and can wear just about anywhere. I have bunions so it is difficult to find comfortable flats. I absolutely love these.

Beautiful Shoe

Made well obviously they are Fryes! However they run just a tad short…width is spot on but the length is the problem. I am a true 9 and my toes are right at the end. I am going to try to stretch the in length a bit as the 9.5 are too large. I know once I break them in in length a smidge they will be perfect. Strange because in every other pair of Fryes that I have bought I am always a 9. I bought the white and the brown. Cannot beat the quality just wish I had slipped them on upon arrival and they were perfect all around. Hope to update to report on the stretch!

A VERY GOOD FLAT

I have skinny feet (not narrow), size 7.5 dress shoes, 8 in tennis shoes. I wear size 7.5 in all Frye sandals, but 8 in ballet flats other brands. I read many reviews and decided to order up 1/2 size (size 8). They are too big even with the air foam insoles and keep on slipping off my feet. The leather is very soft and definitely will stretch over time so they will get even worse. Will have to return or exchange for my true size 7.5. If you have really chubby/wide feet then you may go up 1/2 size. Otherwise order your true size. The sand color (nubuck) is very nice and more neutral, not as "yellow" as in the picture. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Very nice shoes

The shoe quality is typical of Frye. Quality built and attractive. However, I wear a 10m, bought a 10m but the shoe is extremely small. It would fit more like a n 8.5 or 9 narrow. I'll be returning it. I'm not willing to keep trying and having to pay return shipping for a fluctuation in size that great.

Love the looks of shoe, but have not yet worn it as the sole is so slick I might as well be walking on ice. It's at the shoe repair shop for a new rougher sole. Not an inexpensive re-do. I have other Carson flats, but this sole is particularly slippery.

Great color

Most uncomfortable flats I've ever worn. They were somehow too small and too big at the same time. My toes were squished, but they slipped off my heels. They were also so slippery on the bottom I wasn't even able to walk on the carpet in my house without sliding. They also rubbed my heels and next to my big toe. Just awful.
