[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful boot, however, there is no zipper. This is a pull on. I wear a size 5. 5, but purchased a 6. 5 so that I may wear thick socks with it in the cold. I have very narrow ankles and heels and could not pull them on with no socks! I had to use a shoehorn, and even with that it was very difficult. Once on, the footbed was too big, (because I had no socks on). No idea if I'll ever be able to wear them, but I'll still purchase Frye, as it's been my favorite boot since my first purchase in ‘76!!!

This is a cute boot and has the Frye quality as expected. I was hoping the color would be closer to a golden brown with a hint of auburn but it was a little redder than I prefer so it was a return for me; however, would still give a 5/5 rating with high recommendation.

Elevated Simplicity

The quality of these will most likely outlast me and I would love to give these 5 stars but they are a BEAR to get on as my feet “stick” to the unlined leather. I will persevere however and hopefully as I break them in they will slide on like butter.

Beautiful heirloom boots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I shopped The Frye Company because I wanted quality, leather boots in size 12. Although the website offers boots to size 12 this was the only style available. Even all of the new arrivals were not listed as being available in size 12. The boots are good quality and true to fit. I would prefer a rubber sole if a model was available with that. I also would have preferred another syle with the shaft height consistent and not with the front and back dip which make the boots look more informal.

I shopped The Frye Company

The boots are beautiful. However, there are women that are not the size of cows. There are those with slim/narrow calves. This company does not offer a boot with this slim calf option. Beautiful product. Would not recommend for slim ladies. Sorry had to return.

Very Wide Calf

I typically wear a 10, but the 10 was quite large and wide at the bottom, there was a ton of space and my foot was moving around a lot walking, even when I put on a thick sock, still didn't fit. Depending on the shoe, I can fit in anything between 9. 5to 10. 5, so I exchanged for a 9. 5 and when I received them, I couldn't even get it on my foot. I couldn't get my heel and ankle down the neck of the boot at all, which was so weird because I have never had so much trouble getting boots on that were just a half size down. I went the other way and even tried to use a thin nylon sock and still wouldn't go on. I thought for a minute, maybe the wrong size was sent but the print on the inside of the boot said “9. 5”. Totally bummed because I love Frye and was really looking forward to owning those, but guess not.
