This thread is made in Mexico, a side by side strength test comparison of Gutermann thread made in China, Mexico and Germany revealed surprisingly similar resistance to breaking.   If a difference exists it is small, Germany first, Mexico, then China, but they are all excellent thread.

The quality of Gutermann Walmart thread

Happy

Not worth the money. Far less thread than a normal spool and inferior quality. Easily breaks in a machine. Maybe OK for hand sewing.
