I was leery about a garmin watch because I had an Apple Watch before and rarely ended up wearing it. This watch is super comfortable. Stays charged a really long time. Easy to use. I am much more aware of my health stats. I have already ordered one for my husband now too. And also my wrists are small and this is not too overwhelming or large.

I’ve had the FR265 for about a month now—I switched from the FR165 after signing up for a triathlon and needing something that supports multisport mode. I love the bigger screen, better battery life, and the additional training metrics. I’ve been a Garmin user for a long time, and this watch really does a lot.

I’ve also used a few other brands (Apple and Coros). With Apple, I hated having to recharge daily and the lack of buttons. Coros was good, but very simple, and the ecosystem didn’t feel as refined. A small example: with Coros, if you leave the timer screen, it cancels the timer—Garmin keeps it running in the background.

Great all around watch

This watch has been a huge upgrade from my old forerunner 45, it didn’t have a flashlight function which now it does, it’s pretty nice actually, when I was sick it sent me messages that “some parameters were out of normal range” maybe it could detect issues that maybe you don’t feel symptoms of. I honestly think it’s so good because it tells me how I am doing based on the data it collects, totally different from forerunner 45. This watch is truly a spectacular design by Garmin I have to say.

Garmin Forerunner 265

I had the Garmin Forerunner 245 and liked it very much. After it died (lasted nearly 6 years w/ daily, heavy use!) I briefly tried the newest Apple Watch and just couldn’t make the switch. It felt like Garmin was so much more intuitive. Briefly tried the Garmin Lily 2 Classic because I wanted something that looked more feminine and classy, which it did, but it wasn’t able to broadcast my heart rate to my bike trainer or track my activities independently of my phone. This Forerunner 265 is fantastic. It has everything I need, including a big face so I can read all the options easily even without my glasses, and it is organized intuitively, so I can find things simply. I highly recommend it!

All the Features I Need!

Love my forerunner 265. My first Garmin which was forerunner 55 was great and wanted to upgrade. The 265 doesn't disappoint. Very accurate and has a ton of face options.

I had my Garmin 245 for 3 years and really wanted to upgrade to something with a color display and touchscreen. After months of researching I decided to go with the 265. The battery life is awesome and the large bright screen makes seeing my data while running so much easier!

Awesome upgrade from the 245

Husband bought this for me as a birthday present! So far I Love it! It’s lightweight and easy to set up. I mainly use it for health info on sleep, stress and battery etc. unlike Apple Watch I love the simplicity of the watch itself. I also turned off notifications to prolong the battery. I’m so glad my husband gifted me this! We ended up getting our daughter one for her cross country!

Amazing features! Great Buy!

This watch was a little pricey but well worth it. 
I bought this to replace my Apple Watch Series 8 because I was getting more serious into running and would like to start biking + swimming. I really like the battery life. That is really the big selling point.
If you are a runner and use the "Runna" app, your workouts sync up seamlessly to be started right on your watch.

Love the watch! I previously had an Apple Watch and while I do miss a few features—like “Find My Phone,” Apple Music, and the talk-to-text function—the Forerunner 265 more than makes up for it with its fitness tracking. It’s great for serious runners. The performance metrics, GPS accuracy, and battery life are impressive. If you’re focused on training and running, this is a strong choice.
