I've only had it for about a week, but so far I love the design and the durability. I upgraded from a Fitbit and I am loving the additional features. To justify the price I would say just make sure health and fitness is a big part of your life. The features can be overwhelming until you get use to it, but if it's something you use even half the week it is worth the purchase to me. Hope this helps! <3

This was exactly what I was looking for in a fitness watch. Not to confusing. Tracks my sleep, steps calories etc… Helps with marathon training and goals. Tells me when I should rest and provides suggested running tips.

Great fitness watch

lost it couldint find it bad tracking options / no tracking options

Wasn't syncing my sleep to Garmin app at first. But once I connected watch via USB-C to my computer and manually updated it, the watch started syncing. It been working ever since.

Needed to manually update first

Having experience previous Garmins. (Music 255, Instinct 1 and Instinct 2) 

I had this one as a gift. At first, I was surprised because I had no prior knowledge. It's small but compact in functionality. If you're multi sport but looking for something that looks with style or a blend to wear to the gym and office. This one is it. 

Holds well with sweat (Running, CrossFit, tested), touch screen can be turned off, the screen is amazing, and you can modify the faces and watch features. The wristband could be a bit longer. Even for a small wrist like mine, I felt it a bit snug. But, nothing that can't be replaced.

I'm still learning how to use this watch and the features of it. Change is hard and there is so much more to this one than the 235 I had. I really like that I can see my heartrate when I run, along with my pace and overall time. I don't like the charging cable. It is not USB compatible.  Thankfully we have a portable battery pack that accepts the cord. Garmin could do better with that.

Very different from my other Forerunner

I bought this at Christmas and had to get it replaced in less than 6 weeks due to battery draining in lass than 3 days. The replacement  watch was a recertification.  The replacement is better, but only slightly. I now get 5 days. Also, the screen keeps going black, or only stays on for a split  second, on my runs.  I have had many garmin watches over the past 30 years and the quality seems to have declined.

Just okay for price

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and have been extremely disappointed. The algorithm seems to live in an alternate universe. It tells me I'm deconditioned and to do 17 miles…. I'm not a marathoner! I had a forerunner 246 for many years and only retired it because it could no longer go in the pool without shorting out. The 265s is a vastly inferior product. I swim a lot so was looking forward to being able to track my swim workouts. Lap counting and interval timing are ok but using the drill function for kick sets is clumsy, about 70% of the time hitting the button to end the drill bumps you out of the workout completely then you have to wait for the watch to reboot and start a new workout. If you want to have your kick set logged you have to do it manually later on your phone. The brightness of the display also dims pretty quickly so it can be hard to see the timer through your googles as you wait to start your next interval. Seems to be ok on my runs although I'm vary curious as to why my vo2 max went from top 5% for my age to top 30% when I switched watches…. HRV is a nice addition. I will be returning this watch on Monday. It is not worth keeping, I have been a loyal Garmin user for 15 years but I think I'll try another brand after this experience
