Value For Money

Product arrived as described and on time. It connected to my Garmin watch exactly how the instructions indicated and it works well. I have used it with no issue on about 10 runs now.

walmart.com

There is a trick to getting it to pair with your Garmin and that is after you set it up remove the batteries and pair again. After that, it worked like a charm and measures my HR rate perfectly far better than the exercise bike which has numbers that go from 90 bpm to 195. Highly recommended for Garmin bike riders. Now I use it for my walks too.

Great HR monitor for Garmin uses

The HRM 200 is a great improvement from my last Garmin HRM. It's a more comfortable strap, easier to change the battery with built-in tool and Bluetooth connection is quick and easy. Only thing is they say the battery has a year life span when my older monitor had a 3 year span, just wondering why! Love the HRM 200 overall!

HRM 200

Garmin

I like it so far. It's the fifth Garmin HRM I've owned over the past eleven years. Even with proper care they do not last long. And the price continues to increase. Hey Garmin, build a HRM on the same level of quality as you do with your watches. Owning your HRM is really like renting it.

Great but doesn't last long

Absolutely no issues with the HRM 200. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the setup instructions are too vague. If I could do 4.5 I would as the lack of understanding is probably my fault. Once you figure out how to pair the unit with your Garmin device (I had to YouTube it) the unit works flawlessly. Even if you may not realize it is working, it is...

Flawless functionalit but vague setup instructions

The HRM Dual I, which I've been using for a while, has finally reached its end of life. It was functioning flawlessly until the threaded inserts, which I suspect became brittle over time, failed during my last battery swap. If not for that issue, it would still be in good working condition. I hope Garmin has also made this HRM more durable, as the last design I used lasted me for several years. Only time will tell.

Promising

It is a Heart Rate Monitor but has no operational mode in which would display real-time heart rate. One must set an activity (a convoluted process at best) in order for the device to display the heart rate. Ridiculous. I can't say how it works because I've returned it immediately.

A fiasco

Less than two months of use and the device is consistently returning non-usable, erratic data (HRs from 30-487 bmp within seconds of one another).

Troubleshooting tips from Garmin have been followed repeatedly with no improvements.

Reaching out to Beach Camera to hear return/replacement policies now.

Erratic values and unusable data

I never bothered with the return for this product, but it did not pair with my Forerunner 245 at any point. Basically useless device. I previously had a good experience with garmin products but this was disappointing and will make me reconsider buying more products.

Did not work at all

I bought the GRM200 several weeks ago for cycling. The HRM works well for about 30 minutes before it starts reporting erratic heart rate data. The heart rate starts accelerating until it reaches 175 bpm.Disconnecting the sensor does not turn off the erratic reported data: it still reports high heart rate data even when disconnected.Obviously the sensor is locking on to something else.I have tried both ANT plus as well as BLE. It does not matter which I use.I still get the same erratic heart rate data.I have tried wetting the strap and wearing a colton base layer under my jersey; still the same nonsense. I am using a Garmin 830 cycling computer. Any ideas?
