Sour Cream

Low fat Sour creme

Probably the most terrible 'sour cream' I have ever eaten in my life.  I am honestly astonished by the high rating here and any amount of positive reviews - these people undoubtedly have no idea about what dairy should taste and look like.
Even at first sight the texture looks off - too glossy, some kind of gelatinous sticky white ooze, that looks like that cheap suspicious yogurt that you buy at a gas station because you are super hungry and in a hurry, so you deliberately avoid looking at the back and try not to wonder what it could be made of.
It was really nice of the producer to put the info about tons of artificial ingredients that never belong in any dairy onto the label, but I wasn't surprised when I tried a spoonful and found it quite bad - again, it tastes something remotely similar to a yogurt, a little sour even, but something is off. Maybe if you mix it with some other ingredients like jam or something with a more prominent taste, it will be better. But I used it in a salad instead of regular sour cream, and the texture was really bad - it looked as if I poured liquid glue onto the vegetables, which then remained on the bottom of the bowl in a white glistening pool.
I wouldn't recommend buying this product. If you are worried about fat, believe me, healthy fats in a high quality sour cream (Gay Leah premium sour cream is really good - containing only milk and bacteria - didn't know it means premium nowadays) will do you more good than these propylene glycol and cellulose. The only reason I get to write this review is because I initially ordered a premium sour cream, but it was replaced and I received this abomination instead. Don't repeat my mistakes!
