Use this Golden Barrel 90/10 creme fondant as a base to make irresistibleicings! Compared to the firm texture of rolled fondant that can be used alonefor forming designs and figures, this creme fondant serves a different purposeand cannot be used as a substitute for rolled fondant. It is generally blendedtogether with other ingredients in a mixer to make buttercreams or fudge-typeicings, and applied to the finished cake or cupcake in the same way as regularicing.    This smooth, semi-solid creme fondant is made from boiled sugar syrup that isthen crystallized to a smooth and creamy white mass with a sweet flavor. It'smade with simple ingredients and no preservatives, artificial colors, orflavors. This particular 90/10 creme fondant features a ratio of 90% sucroseto 10% corn syrup, meaning that it has a slightly higher boiling point than80/20 creme fondant.    Creme fondant holds moisture longer than simply mixing sugar and watertogether, so it helps prolong freshness in your icings and baked goods! It canalso be used to make marzipan and chocolate centers for truffles and otherspecialty desserts. Or, use it as a seeding agent for the sugar to crystalizein fudges and caramels.
