Agree with all other negative comments. Bitter, sour, and doesn't mix in. Used it for muffins and it ruined the batch. Tossed the full container into the garbage.

DO NOT BUY!

If you want to ruin your baking or play a joke on someone use this baking powder. I made this 40th birthday cake for a large party and it was ruined with this baking powder. You could have a bite that was delicious and then a bite that was terrible and bitter. There was a comment that it was like playing a game of beanboozled, you didn't know what type of bite you were going to get. I put a lot of time and money into this cake for it to be ruined by this garbage. DO NOT BUY!

Absolute Garbage!!

This Baking Powder was anything but great value! It had these incredibly hard lumps that were impossible to break down and left baked good (waffles, pancakes, cookies, etc...) with pockets of sour, bitter flavour that completely ruined the product. Used in a few things before realizing this was the problem. Threw out the 3/4 full container as we didn't want to waste anymore ingrediants tainting them with this. Some Great Value products are fantastic but this is one to stay away from.

The Terrible Horrible No Good VeryBad BakingPowder

I've been an avid baker for many, many years and this is the WORST baking powder I have ever used!  I had 30  carrot cakes to make this past Christmas and the first couple of batches were made using a different store brand baking powder and then I ran out so I opened my brand new Great Value baking powder that doesn't expire until 2026 and started using that one. I was initially confused as to why the cakes all of a sudden were not rising properly and it didn't dawn on me until I had finished baking that the only change I had made was the baking powder. I went out and bought a different brand and remade some of the cakes and they rose just fine! So, the culprit here was the Great Value baking powder!  What a waste of ingredients and my time having to re-bake the ones I had made with the lousy Great Value baking powder.  From a very experienced baker, please DO NOT buy this!  You will waste your time, money and ingredients using it.

I bought this last week as the regular branded BP was sold out..... never again... i repeat NEVER AGAIN. Youll have a delicious bite follpwrd by 5 nasty bites and it will have your husband and children spitting their dinner out on their plate at the table.
