Just as the brand name says, the bag of Great Value Black Turtle Beans is GREAT VALUE!  I like to add cooked black beans to my rice and vegetables to make a well rounded nutritious and affordable meal. A 900 g bag goes a long way and makes several meals.

These black turtle beans are fantastic! I love the flavor, texture, and how easy they are to prepare. I cook them the Brazilian way: soak for 24 hours (changing the water every 8 hours), then pressure cook for 20 minutes.
To bring out the flavor, I sauté mashed garlic and chopped onion, add two ladles of cooked beans with broth, mash some of the beans to make it thick and creamy, then add the rest and season with salt. A handful of chopped cilantro (or parsley) at the end makes it perfect.
The result? Comforting, rich, and deeply satisfying. These beans are affordable and deliver great quality. A staple in my kitchen now!

Brazilian-Style Flavor with Great Value Beans

Although it depends on the recipe used for cooking black turtle beans, shelf life and packaging also plays a major role when it comes to beans, lentils and flour. Beans were well packaged keeping them as fresh as possible. Beans came out very soft after cooking this I can very well say that the shelf life was approximately maintained. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this product from Walmart. These beans come with many health benefits such as being high in Proteins and Dietary fibre.

I bought this product many many times. Everytime I was impressed with this product. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes nutritious black turtle beans.

Buying try beans is a great way to save money. you just need to be organized and pre-soak for your recipes.  It is good value and tastes great in my recipes.

Black beans are my favourite, I went to the store with the intention of buying canned black beans but there was none left, so I purchased the dried ones and to my surprise they didn't take long to cook.

I love buying Great Value Black Turtle Beans. I love that the fiber content is higher in these beans than some other brands. I wish that the packaging had pressure cooker instructions as well as boiling instructions. I wish that you could buy a larger package for a reduced price or that this size of package was cheaper.

A good source of protein that is versatile, convenient and affordable. They are a staple in my cupboard. I use them in soups, stews and  various dishes.

I purchased a GV black turtle beans last month and found a few small soil rocks among the beans. Very inconvenient! Also, several beans were very old with small moldy spots on them.
