5lbs of ground chicken for 8.88. Excellent  quality, makes meal prep for a few of weeks  easy. Vakue and pricing way better then Safeways . At Safeway you get a pound of ground chicken  for 6.99, wherras I got 5 lbs of ground chicken for 8.88. This is way better deal for single people needing an economical choice for protien options for meal prepping that can easily last a 3 weeks  or more for a single person.

Great pricing for minced meat option for meal prep

As many others have said, the visual appearance of this ground chicken out of the package is not your standard ground meat (Raman looking).  It is puree more like.  That said, it crumbles up just the same as any other ground meat I’ve purchased and tastes great.  Can’t beat the price for extra lean ground meat.  I use it for everything-tacos, meat sauce, hamburger helper, etc.  Haven’t heard any complaints from those that I feed.  This will continue to be a staple in my freezer.

Great Value indeed

It was not what I expected.  I thought I would be like ground chicken you buy on a tray,  being able to see "strands" of chicken that  had gone through a grinder.  Nope.  It's like puree chicken. It was lean.  I had to work at it constantly to cook it so there were actual bite sized, small, meatball-ish pieces of chicken so it wouldn't "disappear" into my casserole.  I can't complain for the price.  I'll buy it again.

Not what I expected

A real helper in keeping the most precious being in your life full fed with human food. A weeks food: 3 pounds   2 cups brown rice   3-4 cups frozen/fresh vegetables   2 tablespoons coconut oil   1tsp sea salt   turmeric power   fresh parsley  thyme and rosemary. Pressure cooked for 2pm is, natural release, then add 1 cup oat flakes immediately after by folding in the flakes, leave in pot until fully cool. Serve 150g per meal with small doc vitamins mixed in.

I recently tried Great Value Extra Lean Ground Chicken (4 x 454g) and was very impressed with its quality and versatility. Great Extra Lean Ground Chicken

A budget friendly protein option that offers excellent value for the price. The 454g package is a versatile staple that can be made into a variety of recipes such as pasta sauce, burgers, stir fries, and casseroles. 

Because chicken has a milder flavour than beef additional seasoning may be required to meet the flavour you are looking for.

Budget Friendly Option

I took a star off because of the way this stuff looks. It's really the most unappealing thing about it. It comes in a log of this sort of pink slurry mix that you think is just going to I dunno, melt or whatever, but it manages to crumble into a delicious-looking and tasting ground chicken that is very versatile and extremely affordable at $2.50 a pound. It comes divided into four 1-pound logs, which are easy to defrost and open up and slop into a pan. Again, if it wasn't for how this stuff looks, when it comes out of the package, this would have gotten full marks, but if you can get over that, this is really a heck of a bargain for a product that is very low fat and very high protein.

Convenience at an Incredibly Great Price

First time buying ground chicken. Opened the package and initially disappointed at the texture of the sticky pink mush but got it in the pan and started cooking. It didn't take long before the colour and texture improved and the meal looked great. Taste was good! I was impressed, for the price you can't beat this as a better alternative to ground beef

A pleasant surprise

It's hard to even call it chicken meat at all. The texture is very finely ground, like mashed potatoes rather than ground meat, and contains many inclusions that taste like pepper. The meat itself is very low quality, as if made from various “Meat waste”

Weird texture, low quality

I usually never call food disgusting, but this ground meat was an exception, if you can even call it meat. It tasted like cardboard, had a weird rubbery texture, and smelled bad. I even checked if it was expired. Makes you wonder what they did to that chicken to make it taste this bad. Never again
