It is conveniently portioned into three chubs, however each portion is not a pound which is not convenient. It would be better for each chub to be a pound because it comes frozen and it is difficult to cut frozen meat. I don't want to defrost the chub to cut it and then freeze again for the remaining amount.

I was really surprised at how lean this was. There was hardly any grease to take out at all. The taste qas great too! The package is 309gms but since it doesn't have much fat it provodes the same amount of cook beef as the full pound ones do.  I used it for tacos, spaghetti sauce and some beef soup and it was great in all 3

[Employee of walmartcanada] I didn't read the package very well. I was disappointed about the package size. I thought they were 1 pound packages but they are not they are 376g packages. I really don't like how everything is going up and the size of the package is getting smaller. You are supposed to be one of the cheaper stores around and you are not anymore. I also wish you would bring back your brand of food. Most of the food that I see there are brand names which are more expensive. For ppl who are on a fixed income it is hard to buy food or anything.

Prices need to go down.

The meat's flavour is good, but it's ground so fine the only thing you can use it for is meat sauce. It won't hold together for something like meatloaf, hamburgers or meatballs. However, if you are using it for a meaty red sauce over pasta, it's  a very cost effective way of getting ground beef into your family's diet at a very reasonable cost.

I was buying this as for my family of two it was convenient and the price wasn't outrageous. However the last two times we have bought it I have found chunks of weird pieces of meat and from what it looks like arteries.  It turned me off so much that I spent more time picking out the weird pieces than cooking with it. I'll be going back to the slightly more expensive stuff just to have the quality

Bad meat

If i could give zero stars I would.  what is this stuff??!!!
There is no way this is 100% beef....out of the tube it is a beige/grey colour.  I have made meatballs with it and regardless of spices, binders etcetera that I added, the end result was a distinctively unpleasant meat taste.  I want to say gamey but that isnt it.  I have used a tube for beef enchiladas and again there is an unplesant aftertaste.  i cannot imagine using this for burgers or meatloaf!  Trying to save money I bought 5 packs of these; I am utterly disgusted with this 'ground beef' and plan on escalating my complaint to a higher level w Walmart.
Shame on you guys for taking my money and selling me this bizzare meat!!!!!

Three tubes for under ten bucks seemed not bad when I ordered it. Thawed one from the freezer to make chili con carne. The tubes were far smaller than the older 454 grams but the contents looked like the infamous "pink slime" from that fast food documentary once I slit the tube open to cook it.

GV Lean Ground Beef

I am beyond disappointed in this product. It doesn't even look like ground beef on top of that the amount of veins and hard crap I found in the meat is absolutely disgusting. Now I know why the price is so cheap. Please don't buy this and Walmart please have better standards. I can't even add an image you will vomit.

Do not purchase

The taste and texture is horrible. It tastes very strong in iron that even with strong spices or cooked in different ways the taste is always present in the mouth. The ground beef is also very compressive, with blood and moisture that makes it difficult to unscrew the meat during cooking, giving a rubbery texture. Moreover, tendons that are very present in meat make some clogged meats even more horrible. I do not recommend this product if you are looking for qualities similar to beef ground in butcher because this one really, really does not.

Gout the iron very hard.

The beef is in my fridge because i buy this product often.  I especially like it for the individual tubes to put in my freezer for later use. However i dont like the waste of plastic so i do my part and reuse the bag for garbage and saves me money on buying garbage bags. Anyways, the beef fries up nicely and tastes great!
