Great Value, seriously! A fast and easy lunch!

Great Value Corn Dogs

I decided to try these first before buying the more popular name brand.
Based on the reviews I went in with lowered expectations and found myself pleasantly surprised.  My baseline for comparison is a corn dog from La Belle Province...   I chose to prepare these in the toaster over directly onto the rack...   No tray, no foil paper...  I wanted to achieve a properly crisp outside and softer inside.   Bake mode between 400 and 450, rotating them 90 degrees every 10 minutes or so until they were very crisp on the surface...   They're not bad...  I honestly don't know if I would be able to tell them apart from the ones from La Belle in a blind taste test.
Now that still does not mean they're great or out of this world...   These are simply acceptable corn dogs that pass the sniff test and have a good value compared to the popular name brand.   They're not bad.  Feel Free to try them out.

Poor  temperature

Just plain terrible no matter how you cook them. The sausage/hot dog is tough and has a weird taste. I couldn't eat it and I've never met a hot dog I couldn't at least finish eating. I fed the whole bag to the crows and I swear they gave me a disappointed look.

Terrible quality

These used to be OK. Now the stick is almost as big as the hotdog! These will be renamed 'CornSticks' soon. Shrinkfaction strikes again!

Which feels rubbery as you eat it and doesnt taste good at all.

Ketchup does not help.

horrible hot dog texture so horrible i'm debating on returning. Unacceptable!
