Nice flavours

Licorice is not a jelly flavour... so why is it always included in a mixed pack of jelly beans? Considering all the other flavours are based on fruits. Licorice comes from the root of the Licorice plant. If we're including root plants, what next? Potato flavour? Yam Flavour?? Ginseng flavour???

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Another run-of-the-mill confectionery masquerading as a bargain, eh? These so-called "Great Value" Jelly Beans - and I use the term "great" loosely - are about as satisfying as a filibuster on a Friday afternoon. Sure, they come in more colors than a lobbyist's expense report, but let me tell you, some of these flavors are more terrifying than Freddie Krueger at a slumber party.
Now, I'm not saying they're all bad. Some might even be palatable enough for the common folk, but they're certainly no caviar, if you catch my drift. You get a hefty tub of these sugar bombs - probably enough to fill the pork barrel projects of an entire congressional district. I suppose if Matt Damon ever decides to do a budget remake of "The Martian," he could use these to simulate Martian soil.
But here's the kicker, folks - and you didn't hear this from me - that lid is about as secure as campaign promises after election day. One minute you're reaching for a handful of these multicolored morsels, and the next thing you know, they're scattering across the floor faster than politicians avoiding tough questions. It's a regular jelly bean jailbreak, I tell you! And just like getting a straight answer up on da hill, you'll find yourself on your hands and knees, searching for something that probably wasn't worth the effort in the first place.

These gummy candies could be better. They don't have a strong or pronounced flavour -- flavours are very weak. They're just simple.

Not That Great

There was a time when these tubs where the tall 4" tubs and it was a GREAT value... Now it's just a name and even the quality has gone downhill. They taste like munching on Plasticine... remember that old oily modelling medium back before Play-Doh... This is what these remind me of... ugh at best. 

Plus I've never been a fan of licorice. IMO Licorice is not a fruit flavor so should never be included in tubs which claim jelly or fruity flavors. I swear some tubs seem like 50% is Licorice... 

If we're lucky and get a fresh batch, then they are passable minus the black ones. But if its old stock and the boing has gone out of them so chewing on them is like chewing through leather, then heck no.

Great Value? It's just a name...
