I buy it because it's typically good value, even against weekly sales for lean ground beef. That said, the packaging and texture quality are not my ideal. It is so compact that the texture feels mushy right from raw. That said, it tastes perfectly fine. I use this specifically for meatballs, meatloaf, taco night, sloppy joes....ground beef purposes that are intended to by a bit mushy when cooking anyways and I've been happy with its function.

Good value, specific purposes

This is a way better deal for ground beef than the fresh ground beef packages - it's still lean ground beef and only $3.33 for each 364g package vs. $6  for 454g of regular ground beef in the tube if it's fresh. Meat is so expensive these days, it's well worth it to save a little money and get these frozen tubes for less. Thanks for the savings Walmart!

Save a lot, get a lot!

I was really surprised at how lean this was. There was hardly any grease to take out at all. The taste qas great too! The package is 309gms but since it doesn't have much fat it provodes the same amount of cook beef as the full pound ones do.  I used it for tacos, spaghetti sauce and some beef soup and it was great in all 3

Great Value

[Employee of walmartcanada] I didn't read the package very well. I was disappointed about the package size. I thought they were 1 pound packages but they are not they are 376g packages. I really don't like how everything is going up and the size of the package is getting smaller. You are supposed to be one of the cheaper stores around and you are not anymore. I also wish you would bring back your brand of food. Most of the food that I see there are brand names which are more expensive. For ppl who are on a fixed income it is hard to buy food or anything.

Prices need to go down.

Honestly the price is great, just be aware of the quality or lack there of. There are large hard arteries mixed up and tendons. But if you aint picky its fine for the price. They are hard piece you can't chew once cooked and when you spit it out you can see its a piece of an artery not a little vein. Maybe time to start buying local.

Get what you pay for.

I was buying this as for my family of two it was convenient and the price wasn't outrageous. However the last two times we have bought it I have found chunks of weird pieces of meat and from what it looks like arteries.  It turned me off so much that I spent more time picking out the weird pieces than cooking with it. I'll be going back to the slightly more expensive stuff just to have the quality

Ok price horrible quality

Bad meat

This is the worst “ground beef” I have ever had it doesn't even look like ground beef.  When I went to cook it it had the worst smell.  We ordered out because I was afraid to eat it.  I can't get in to return refund mode for a refund.  Don't waste your money.  If there was a negative star it would have gotten a minus 5 star.

Inedible

I had purchased this in the past and it was ok for the price. I decided to get it again and it was terrible. The meat was full of hard little particles, instead of being red or pink  it was brown and instead of having blood coming out of the package when cut there was water. The texture and flavor when cooked are terrible and I was not able to use it for the meal that I had planned. I will never take a chance with buying this meat again.

Not worth buying at all

I thought this would be a great way to save money but quickly realized upon opening the package that the “meat” does not in fact look or smell like meat. It was very pale in color, it was very mushy like tube meat, and the smell was not of fresh ground meat. The taste is not at all anything like normal lean ground meat. I don't know what this is, but it isn't going to be on my table again!

Don't waste your hard earned money on this!

The beef is in my fridge because i buy this product often.  I especially like it for the individual tubes to put in my freezer for later use. However i dont like the waste of plastic so i do my part and reuse the bag for garbage and saves me money on buying garbage bags. Anyways, the beef fries up nicely and tastes great!
