Value For Money

This probably is the best margarine for everyday use as well as frying. This is more like the old Imperial.....its not all water like that Imperial crap.

Great value. !

$9.98. So they give a price of 1 cent per 100 grams which makes a 1.7 kg of margarine only
1¢/100g. .17 cents a pale, now that's a great value. I would suggest people use a calculator.

Price

great value margarine

I used to buy this when Becel became too expensive, as the Great Value Margarine is usually less than half the price. I've been buying it for the past 16 years. The last tub I bought, I felt tasted off. I figured it was a one off. I just bought a second tub, and this one tastes awful too. Something's changed in the formula. It doesn't taste anything like Becel now. Tastes more like Chefmaster, or Imperial. Blech! Going back to Becel since this product is no longer worth it.

Something's changed

Used to be good but the past few weeks I have recieved very liquidy margarine that doesnt get very firm, is it being watered down or what?

I purchased this brand of margarine for the last 3 years. 2 weeks ago I tried the margarine that I had in the fridge and it smelt and tasted very sour like it had gone bad. So the following week I purchased another one and again it was horrible tasting. It tasted just as sour and also like it had gone bad. This is the first time in 3 years that this has happened. I'm not sure if you changed your source or your supplier but the Great value brand always had a nice mild taste and never tasted sour.

Horrible taste.

The flavor is really bad. Like anything you add it to tastes like it has expired.

Not a good taste.

the margarine expires in 2027 but it tastes like it expired a year ago. I nearly gagged

Tastes expired

It has a really unpleasant taste. Not sure if this batch is bad or if they've change their formulation but this Great Value margarine is terrible.

Bad taste

Great Value Original Margarine 850 g tub, front three-quarter view with blue Great Value logo and 'Margarine Original' label on yellow background; Ingredient Wise symbol visible, kosher and product of Canada noted; spreadable margarine suitable for toast, baking and as a butter substitute.
