Texture is too fine, lacking characteristic steel cut feel.

This Steel Cut Oats is easy to make. I have a bowl each morning as part of my diet to help me start my busy day. I like to add a touch of cinnamon and a teaspoon of brown sugar.

I like the convenience of the short cooking times, but I prefer the texture of the regular steel cut oats.  These are cut finer to shorten the cooking time, so the resulting oatmeal is a bit mushy.  I compared the nutritional value to the regular steel cut oats and they were the same, so the texture is really the deciding point for me.

I bought these thinking they were steel-cut oats. As in, actual steel-cut oats. They're not. The packaging *completely* obscures what's inside, and I'm assuming that's on purpose. These are quick oats that have been cut into almost a powder, and they're horrible if you're a diabetic or someone looking for low GI foods. Don't buy.
