Although this set may seem expensive compared to other chairs - It is well made and easily cleaned and will last much longer then other sets. Many plastic sets are for smaller children. This is really right in the middle with a trend toward bigger. About three years till 8or 9. They are sturdy my husband and I do not feel like we will break the chairs when we sit in them. Covers come off easily and wash well. These are great reading chairs or for in front of the TV. I love them!! Easily put together - and comes in a really small box!!
