This is by far, the best vanilla bean ice cream I have had. I really appreciate an ice cream with all natural ingredients and NO GUAR GUM or any other gums.... Below, is the question of how you could improve...please consider a reduction of at least 1/4 of less sugar--it may allow the vanilla flavor to shine...?

I will buy once in a while when at a little more reasonable price if on sale. I devoured the entire thing in 1 sitting! Very good but not affordable unfortunately.

I really would like to know why they don't sell the vanilla bean in a 28 oz or 3.6 oz I have to be buying 10 jars of this ice cream just cause it goes so quick but they got all the other flavors in the 28 oz I'm sure this would be a great for us people I love love vanilla bean just which it was in a bigger oz

Doesn't matter what kind of vanilla you are in the mood for or what you prefer, this is the best vanilla period. Like french vanilla? Don't care this is better, fancy yourself a connoisseur and bourbon vanilla is your thing? You are basic, and this is better. Get this ice cream now and enjoy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a lot of people are true vanilla bean ice cream lovers - but I am.  This has the BEST natural vanilla flavor and is very smooth on the palate.  My wife made a peach cobbler and we had this with it and it was a perfect pairing!

Haagen Dazs was the hallmark of quality ice cream. Even when they made the size smaller, the quality and flavor was worth it.
When the new packing came out the vanilla bean flavor was no where to be found. 
Vanilla bean was always a pure flavor, rich in the flecks of actual vanilla bean, not  the extract. It did not have heavy egg yolks, as in some ice creams, I personally liked the non yolky texture. It seemed healthier yet full of flavor. A treat with which to splurge.
When it did finally did  show up again, the vanilla bean  flavor choice was really gone. Now, the classic packaging, gone and sadly, so is that flavor. 
It was more calories, too sweet more yellow and less visible flecks of the bean. I do not see french vanilla in the lineup, it appears they mashed recipes with less bean, added extract, more sugar and egg yolks added.
To me it tasted so bad , I then found they  
 did change recipes. Innovation is good,  but to mess with appreciated classics a  real shame. 
I use to say how that was such a good choice, no more.

Good Vanilla bean ice cream is GONE!

We have been eating Haagen Daz for over 3 decades without complaints.  The past couple of times that we have purchased pint containers in various flavor the cartons are mostly air at the bottom of the container! What is going on with production and quality control? It's ridiculous and unacceptable considering the price! Step up your game Haagen Daz!!! Ben and Jerry's, Talenti… there are other options out there!
