Very good food!

This is a quick and easy meal - perfect when you're rushed or to grab for on the go. Heats up nicely in the microwave. Isn't sunny like some meals. Good flavour. Healthier than many other brands.

Quick, easy and healthy meal

I enjoy many of the healthy choice gourmet steamers so thought I'd give this one a try. It's pretty good, but I found it to be fairly bland and almost watery, even though I prepared it properly as I do with all of their other meals. I let it sit a little longer than I normally would and added some salt and that helped a lot. It was worth a try, but I'm not sure that I would buy it again

Decent but not as good as other options

I agree with some other reviewers who have stated that the meal lacks flavour which I find it does as well. I appreciate that the meal is low in sodium but at the same time you want to have good flavour. Some reviewers have mentioned that it tastes homemade and I have to disagree somewhat because of how the chicken is being compacted. I'd rather make a meal with fresh chicken, chunks that you pull off the bones or that you cut into pieces if you're using boneless chicken but it's not going to be as compacted as the chicken in this meal. I've tasted alfredo sauce before and if you were blindfolded eating this meal you probably would not even be able to tell that it has alfredo sauce that's how bland it is. Also I'm not sure why the company has stated on the box that you can't prepare this in a conventional or toaster oven because the chicken is cooked so basically you just have to heat this meal up. I don't have a microwave so what I did is I put the meal on parchment paper and then put that into foil and put it in my oven to heat up. I just turn the bowl over upside down and wait a couple minutes and was able to get the food out no problem and to take the sauce out of the one bowl so if you don't have a microwave go ahead and buy these because you can definitely heat them up in the oven or toaster oven it's not like you'll get sick because the chicken is cooked. Overall though just based on the compacted chicken which I'm not a real fan of and the lack of flavour I won't be purchasing these again. I was really expecting a little better for a healthy choice meal just because a meal is more healthy lower in calories lower in sodium it doesn't mean that it has to lack flavour so I'm disappointed in the lack of flavour with this meal.

I bought 10 of this product, various flavors, at $3.97 each. All 10 can be summed up as basically same, only difference is amount of sugar in watery "sauce". You get less than $1 worth of food, and need to eat at least 4 of these if you do not want to be hungry hour later. Overpriced, bad tasting, feels like a scam.
