The unit runs fine and cools nicely.  The instruction manual is NO help at all?  No set up instructions and no maintenance instructions.  The manual says, "empty water reservoir" and it appears to be enclosed...no hints as to how this should be done.  There's no online help from Humsure as well.

i loved how it came with a long vent tube, but the drip rube dor water  12 inchesor better  , it was very small. It didn't match the length. That's the only downfall other than that, this thing rocks cool air baby.....remote control...wheels...idk i didn't reall read the book but i did read the coolant system..keep it upright if possible  ..like a refrigerator..

It just didn't seem to put the air through there  good enough. Too much metal and not enough insulation

Good for Home, but maybe not for RV

I like this ac exept that I didnt realize that I would be woken up at 3am to empty the water out of it. Didnt know what I expected but this wasnt it. Dont get me wrong, I like the machine but if youre going to advertise this, you should make it known that if its really humid, youre going to have to get up and empty the water out of it. This is something that is not known and I think it would serve the company better.

I got this 8,000 BTU AC to replace my 5,000 BTU unit. This unit will not keep the room cool. As the outside temp rises, the room gets uncomfortanly hot. it is now 77.7° at 11:50 am. The AC has been on since 7:30am, and the room is hot. I have 5 fans running so I  can feel cooler. I thought when I got the larger capacity unit, I could eliminate the fans. My 5,000 BTU  unit did a much better job of cooling.  Very disappointed!

Bigger AC , less cool air.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i would recommend for the quality of the ac. the problem is the drainage. the drainage is on the bottom and it does not drain unless the ac is above window level. i am not sure if i am doing something wrong but i followed the instructions and read about it online. otherwise i love it

I researched which would be the better purchase, window unit or portable unit. I figured a portable unit would work best for me. That way I could move it from room to room. What I did not realize was that this machine never shuts off!  It runs continuously no matter what setting. You have to drain the tank when it gets too full with water, there's not many options to choose from so there's no eco-friendly mode. It's either cold or fan. So coming from a financial point of view, this was a poor purchase and it was not a cheap purchase so now I am stuck with an air conditioning unit that I cannot use because it runs constantly, and my electric bill is going to be astronomical.

Power sucking vampire.

I don't like that. You have to drain it so often if you don't, it shuts off.
 Very inconvenient when I go away. I have to worry about it. Shut off and be it hot when I come home.

I don't understand all the good reviews. I had a different portable air conditioner that was amazing, this one is awful. I had it in a small bedroom since June - the room never got under 82 degrees and most days was at 84. Just doesn't cool at all. I had to take it out and put a small 5,000 btu window one in that keeps the room now in low to mid 70's. Please do not waste your money. I wish I could return it because it's trash.

Keep looking- don't waste your money

i have a small room that a small air conditioner always kept it cool.   i tried it for a week and it would only lower the room temp. by 3 to 4 degrees.
