I've only been using this Iron for about a week now, but so far it's been very impressive.   The steam output is Great...It glides fairly smoothly across the material and does a great job getting the wrinkles out of my cotton shirts. It takes about 2 mins to reach the desired temperature needed. It shuts off after about 15 mins when sitting upright and about 30 sec when laying flat or on it's side. This is a pretty large Heavy Duty iron however I didn't find it uncomfortable to handle but for someone with joint issues this might be somewhat difficult to handle on a regular basis .  The lighted  Digital display was fairly easy to read and could be changed by pressing the button located above the display window.  The retractable chord didn't retract as easily as it should but overall so far I'm very pleased with my purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great iron! There are so many to choose from, but I'm so happy with this choice. The Hamilton Beach Durathon Digital iron worked very nicely. It wasn't too heavy and got the wrinkles out quickly using the steam function. I love the push button cord storage. It also has a nice raised base that keeps the heated iron off the board when it is sitting on base. Definitely a nice iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Durathon Digital Iron is a really great product. I love all the newest features on this iron. The plate is so smooth and the iron really does put out more steam than my old iron. It works great on hard to get out wrinkles. It has a self cleaning feature that I really like and I also like having the cord be retractable, no more messy cords all over the place. Makes my ironing less of a chore.

Great value

I love the iron. It is a heavy iron which I like, heats well, correct amount of steam, no problem with sticking or so far no water spilling from the iron when in use and for me the price was good for the product. Very sturdy.

I have not used all of the settings, mainly the cotton, linen and synthetic, but without any issues. Pros: Looks nice, irons very well, light up digital control panel is easy to read and change settings, nonstick soleplate helps iron to smoothly move across clothes, retractable cord is a very nice feature, easy to read water level, makes a lot of steam when needed. Cons: It is a very heavy iron, but a huge con for me- filling the water is an absolute pain. I would think there has to be an easier way to fill the water. I have never had a iron that was so difficult to fill with water. The way it is designed, the lid does not open near enough to expose the hole to pour the water into very well and I had to get very creative (and had to even buy a small funnel) in order to fill it with water. That is a definite, and only, real flaw with this iron. Otherwise, I am very happy with how it works.

Almost perfect, just not quite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't think ironing clothes could be easy until I bought my Durathon digital iron. When I opened it from the box I thought to myself, 'This is a powerhouse.' The design is sleek, it's not heavy to hold, comes with a retractable cord and a self-cleaning feature. My husband favors cheap fabrics for his work shirts. You know the kind, always wrinkly no matter how much you try to get it perfect. The Durathon iron got those wrinkles out fast. It's so nice not having to spend grueling hours on those dress shirts. My iron did all the work for me and it honestly made me feel like an ironing expert. If it has a con it would be that it didn't come with a pour spout water container to fill the water tank. Otherwise, I'd consider it a must-have staple for anyone that wants a tough iron that works efficiently.

Tough Wrinkles? No problem with the Durathon Iron!

This iron does not get very hot. It is bulky and difficult to maneuver. The dial is hard to read. I do not like its performance. I would not recommend.
