Excellent product

The microwave is a great size   but there is a child lock that can be annoying
at the best of times. You cant program your time but have to use the preprogram ones offered on it. My children love the child lock  as the noise and being there height  but if you are tired or in a hurry this is annoying.

Fantastic little microwave, heats up food great. Only annoying thing is you have to push the unlock button every time you open door for heated up food. Otherwise very happy with this unit.

Perfect Microwave

Works great, good size, convenient functions. I like that the "Done" buzzer is quieter than my previous microwave. The one feature I do not like is the Kitchen Timer and Cook Timer. Once set, the screen goes back to the clock. To see how much time is left on the timer you have to keep pressing the button again! Just an inconvenience, but had I known that before I bought it, I might have chosen a different oven, as I do use the timer often.

Good reliable microwave

Good budget microwave, but expect to clean it thoroughly before first use
I received my Hamilton Beach microwave today and the delivery was perfectly on time, just as the app predicted. It looks nice, the size is exactly what I needed for my small kitchen, and the price was honestly hard to beat.
The only annoying part was the packaging inside the oven. The glass turntable tray was wrapped in thick cardboard for protection, but when I pulled it out, hundreds of tiny cardboard dust particles went everywhere inside the microwave. It took me a good 10–15 minutes with a damp cloth and vacuum to get all the little bits out so I wouldn't end up with cardboard flakes in my food. A small piece of advice for anyone buying this: clean the interior really well before your first use.
The other downside is the noise level. This thing is noticeably louder than my old microwave—there's a pretty loud hum/buzz while it's running. It's not unbearable, but if you're sensitive to appliance noise or use it late at night, you'll notice it.
Everything else works great so far: it heats evenly, the controls are simple, and the power feels strong for the price. For the money I paid, I'm still happy with the purchase—just wish they'd used a cleaner packaging method inside. Overall, solid 4 stars and a good deal if you don't mind a quick cleanup and some extra noise.

Noicy and dirty inside

The microwave is pretty, good quality and functional. My only complain and unfortunately a really big inconvenient, is that, this is not a completely brand new item. I bought a brand new item and I received an used or open box item. I cannot really tell, but definitely it was owned by someone else before. Really disappointing.

Good but used item

Motor made a strange noise on startup & during the cycle. I called the customer service number to see if this noise was normal.  The customer service number in the booklet had not been activated. Went to the Hamilton Beach Canada site & called the customer service number, it went to an answering machine & never heard from them. Returned the microwave.

Not impressed

The glass door melted after using it just 3 times. Poor quality microwave. I would not buy Hamilton Beach equipment again. 
I would rather pay more money to buy something with better quality and safety.

Do not recommend

I am returning, or hope I can return without a box. Have only used twice and the second time I used it it caused another outlet (not the one the microwave was plugged into) to have an electrical spark immediately after I turned it on. Waited a couple of days, tried the microwave again and the electrical spark was worse. I tried another appliance in the same socket as the microwave with zero issues.

Returning

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my mother. It started having glitches with the control panel after less than seven months. It may still be under warranty but I'm not going to ship it off. I will replace it
and write it off as a mistake. Maybe Hamilton Beach should stick with making blenders.

Lasted almost seven months.
