I read mixed reviews before I purchased. Some people said the motor is not strong enough to mix dough for bread (my intention is to make bread), etc. Other reviewers said they were happy. I am very happy without any regret for choosing this Hamilton Beach. This is my first stand mixer ever. I made the first bread ever in my whole life and mixing was physically effortless; the bread was more than only edible-it was genuinely delicious

just a great mixer. it's a bit small definitely a one loafer but that was my fault I didn't look at the size of the bowl, but I can still make two separate batches in half the time.

I knew how popular KItchenaid stand mixers were but didnt want to invest in the high price tag. Plus opted for a lightweight stand mixer was important. Saw this Hamilton beach stand mixer with 7 speed that is comparable in wattage power and included items, this was the choice for 2/5 (40%) of the price and only weighing 12 lbs (kitchenaid artisan is at 14 lbs). I got it in red color and love using it to easily knead our wondrous dough.

I love Hamilton Beach, I've always their stand mixer but with glass bowls.  Was gonna get the cheaper one bc one of them had glass bowls. Beings it was gonna be a Christmas present and my first choice was out of stock I picked this one. And I'm not sorry one little bit, it's awesome.  thank you, Jennifer F.

I love this product.  It is sturdy and heavy.  It does a great job of helping me cook.  I even shredded chicken with it.  It has suction cups on the bottom that keep it in place and it is easy to store.  I have made awesome cheesecake for the first time.  I would highly recommend this Stand Mixer.

Great value

I have used it a dozen times since I received it. The +: - sucking under the device keeping it in place - several speeds - several tips - efficient motor - large bowl allowing to make double recipes The -: - sometimes I stop the time to scrape the sides or bottom with a spatula In summary, it is a very good device if you do not have the budget for a kitchen help.

Very happy with this purchase. Works as described and also easy to operate. Also appreciate that its not super heavy.

Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer

After giving away a $300 mixer because I didn't like it, I bought a few different stand mixers and compared them. This was the only one that passed my first test of whipping a single egg white into a meringue. (And one of the machines claimed to be 800 watts!) Unfortunately, it couldn't handle a large cookie mixture containing 5 1/2 cups of flour and a cup of sugar. But it was a very pleasant surprise. In asking friends which machine they thought would win out and be kept, no one said the Hamilton Beach. Too bad, because it is a good little machine. Just don't expect to make anything with more than about 4 cups of flour.

A very pleasant surprise.

I was so excited to get this. As soon as it came in, I tried to make chocolate chip cookies. While creaming(!), the stand mixer was walking across the counter. I tried pushing down a bit to make the suction cups engage, which really didn't make a difference. By the time we were adding flour, my husband had to hold it down to stop it from walking away. Also, the hole for the guard is awkward to use, so I ended up cleaning just as much flour (if not more) as I would when using a hand mixer.
