I read mixed reviews before I purchased. Some people said the motor is not strong enough to mix dough for bread (my intention is to make bread), etc. Other reviewers said they were happy. I am very happy without any regret for choosing this Hamilton Beach. This is my first stand mixer ever. I made the first bread ever in my whole life and mixing was physically effortless; the bread was more than only edible-it was genuinely delicious

1st Timer in Love with this stand mixer

I love this product.  It is sturdy and heavy.  It does a great job of helping me cook.  I even shredded chicken with it.  It has suction cups on the bottom that keep it in place and it is easy to store.  I have made awesome cheesecake for the first time.  I would highly recommend this Stand Mixer.

Great value

I knew how popular KItchenaid stand mixers were but didnt want to invest in the high price tag. Plus opted for a lightweight stand mixer was important. Saw this Hamilton beach stand mixer with 7 speed that is comparable in wattage power and included items, this was the choice for 2/5 (40%) of the price and only weighing 12 lbs (kitchenaid artisan is at 14 lbs). I got it in red color and love using it to easily knead our wondrous dough.

Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer

After giving away a $300 mixer because I didn't like it, I bought a few different stand mixers and compared them. This was the only one that passed my first test of whipping a single egg white into a meringue. (And one of the machines claimed to be 800 watts!) Unfortunately, it couldn't handle a large cookie mixture containing 5 1/2 cups of flour and a cup of sugar. But it was a very pleasant surprise. In asking friends which machine they thought would win out and be kept, no one said the Hamilton Beach. Too bad, because it is a good little machine. Just don't expect to make anything with more than about 4 cups of flour.

I've been wanting a stand mixer for years. I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars since I won't use it everyday. This Hamilton Beach has everything that I need at a great price. I do need to scrape the sides, but that's okay. I like that it's lightweight as I have weak hands %26 wrists. I also love that it suctions to the counter so that I don't have to hold onto it. I can do other things while it's doing it's job!

Great mixer at a geeat price

It's plastic. the only thing metal is the bowl and attachments. it seems very low quality. The item was purchased as a holdover for another kitchen aid.

It's not what you'd expect

Not a fan of this mixer yet.   Made a soft cookie dough that the mixer seemed to struggle with.   The stand shook more than I would have expected.

Machine is heavy and cumbersome.  It does perform well but is not easy to handle.
