Maybe I'm old school but they are the only underwear I will buy. The waistband is comfortable without tags. I am not a fan of boxer briefs and that's all they stock in my area! I don't want to wear shorts under my shorts…
So I order these online, thankfully they are available there. I'm a lifelong Hanes wearer.

It was impossible to find these in store. So it was great to be able to find them online. The covered bands are alot more comfortable for my brother then the elastic bands.

Great find online

Both my husband and son wear these underwear. My son refuses to wear anything else. These underwear wash well and are very soft. And the best part is the waistband elastic is covered in the same material as the underwear. On the package it has a green strip above the photo that says "ComfortSoft Waistband". So now this is the only underwear that I buy for my husband and son. My husband used to wear the regular briefs, but threw those out when I bought him a package of this type of brief. So happy that I can buy these online from WalMart.

Love The Hanes Briefs

These underwear look very good, and are GREAT quality. If someone is going to see you underwear, these are the ones... HOWEVER they are not very comfortable because they don't have any stretch to them, and they run small. Most mediums are loose on me, and these are snug. is that the point maybe? I don't know.

Ordered the same type of underwear, but the size around the waist seems a little tighter? The fabric is still soft but maybe the enclosed elastic is shorter, or not as wide?

My husband has been wearing these for years and the fit and comfort is great. This last order of three packages had two briefs that came apart in the first wash. (We wash them before ever wearing them.) It is more trouble to send them back than it's worth, so we will use them for dust rags. I cannot say the quality is as good as it used to be.

Poor quality

I bought these for my son. He's worn these all his life. When we went from kids xlarge to adult small, the waste band is itchy, the material not as soft and the men's small were smaller than boys xlarge. Are returning unopened packages and will have to find another brand. So disappointed!!

Something has changed!!!

I have older pairs of these and they're great but now, they're a pale imitation of what they used to make. First, the cotton itself is rough, and not soft at all, even after washing. Second, the waistband stitching is inconsistent from pair to pair with the elastic coming out from under the base material. The stitching and elastic are so rough I wear them inside out - I'd rather have tags. I ought a different kind a few weeks ago and those too are terrible so I tried going back to these. I'm through with this company - their products are made too cheaply now and the quality control is awful.

Also, FYI - you can't use this company's name in your review or it will be rejected!!!

I have twice bought these when visiting the US from England and they used to be extremely comfortable and durable. Easily the best I had found. I bought 2 packs in Tampa in February (2015) and the quality is shocking. Rough lower edge to the waistband, far lighter weight cotton, not nearly as soft and roughly sewn. In other words all the previous plus points have gone. What a shame...

What a sad decline!

I love the comfort soft boxer brief that Hanes used to manufacture. The current product is substandard; the fabric is not very soft and worst of all the elastic bands breaks after a few washes.
