These are heavy weight and very warm. Very comfortable and sized generously. My only wish that they had a back pocket. I missed that. I'm not a big fan of the elastic ankle so I removed the elastic and made them open bottom. Not hard to do at all. If you have any sewing skills. But an incredibly good value anyway. So I gave them five stars.

I am recommending this product only because I know most clothing is no longer made like it used to be made. I was actually looking for heavyweight  (14-15g), mostly cotton  (90%) sweat pants. I have 2 pair that have lasted for about 15 years or more. I wanted heavywaeight and I wanted cotton, specifically but once I began searching for what I wanted, I realized the sweats I wanted were much harder to find, now. Almost all sweats have way too much polyester in them and are not as durable and heavy as they once were. I ordered these because they state in the description from the manufacturer, not the distribution center, the sweats were their ultimate heavyweight sweats and gave the weight of the cotton (12.5g) in the sweats. Apparently, the weight of sweats now is much lower, Lower now because, as I found out through my searches, the heavyweight, real cotton is not as popular as it once was and more costly to manufacture. People want lightweight, super stretchy items. FYI-they don't last but most of society doesn't care about durability. There is one particular brand of sweat pants  I wanted and their description and entire website touts their sweats are the same as they used to always be since they began making sweat pants. It just so happens there was a much less expensive brand, Hanes, showing up in my searches and  having the exact same weight as the heaviest brands of all other companies including the company I originally wanted to use for my purchase. Since the Hanes brand sweats were much less expensive and were the  same weight as the other brand, I bought the Hanes. 
I have learned now, the weight is still not as heavy as the older ones were on either brand. So, if I cannot get the weight of cotton I want because no company manufactures it anymore then I now have the next best thing and will just have to deal with it until someone decides to make sweats with the  ”old school “ cotton weight, again. The Hanes sweats are great and just what I wanted except the weight but this is an acceptable substitute due to pricing and only a slightly smaller weight difference in the cotton. 
They fit well/true to size and do what I need them to do. They are warm enough for SEGeorgia cold temperatures and are exactly as described. Great for workouts, lounging, yard work, sitting around and sleeping if you like medium-thick clothing to sleep. They are a full drawstring waistband and have the closed ankles. Nothing fancy just plain old sweats.

Why are the size XL not the same as it used to be?  I like the product but the size has shrunk. PS and I lost weight. They use to be great but now they are the same as Fruit Of The Loom.

It's a pretty decent pair of sweats I would recommend the only reason I gave these a 3 star rating is because when I got them straight out the bag I noticed a couple of discoloration spots on them which put me off because they didn't even manage to give the pants a proper quality check

I love everything about these pants except for the waist string, it is small and very hard to tie, i would gladly pay a little more to have a thicker and longer tie string, thats my only reason for the 3 stars rating on these pants.

Hanes Sport™ Ultimate Cotton® Men...

I don't know exactly what's wrong with these pants, I think it is there shape.  They just don't stay up.  They fall down, in actual fact, they fall down.  Laugh if you want , but it's frustrating.  The look fine in the listing, and they are the correct size so far as I can tell, and the workmanship is standard good Hanes product work.  They just don't fit right.  So be careful when selecting the STYLE of pants, even from Hanes. Joggers are NOT it for me.  If you are a typical American build guy and have enjoyed Hanes of Fruit of the Loom sweats, these are not them.  Go and spend your money on Sweatpants, not joggers.  Same size?  Yeah, but not the same shape/fit.  Be careful.

I love my Hanes sweats - been wearing them for decades - but either they have changed the sizes, or I have  become lilliputian. The "Large" I received is easily two times larger than any other Large I have. 

Of course they are also cheaping out on materials, so they feel like recycled plastic now. I absolutely HATE the white pockets. No one want white pockets in black pants. 

I've returned them and will have to see if I can find better in the store.

I ordered two different colors but the same exact size.  The pairs don't fit the same as each other at all.  And after one washing, clumps of the fleece or whatever from the inside are falling out.  I don't know what happened to the quality with Hanes, but both items are super disappointing.

Quality not what it used to be

I bought Hanes Sweatpants (different style) last year in a size large.  I figured that a size large would be perfect.  Well, they are way to big.  I took last years large and these and laid the on top of each other.  The difference in leg length is 5".  Significance difference.  Will be sending all of them back.

Five Extra Inches in Leg Length

Ordered 2 pair of these 2 years ago and recently ordered 3 more. The quality has declined significantly. One new pair is a full 7 inches shorter than the older version and hits mid-calf (I didn't order capris!). Another is 5 inches shorter, and the third is 4 inches shorter. The seams weave all over the place - not a straight one anywhere to be found on the new pairs. The waistline has much less stretch - be prepared to tie that drawstring up tight.
