I have been searching for good quality open bottom pajama or lounge pants for my brother who wears hi-flow oxygen at all times and can't bend down easily to extricate his feet from narrow bottom pants. They needed to be at least 9 in across at the hem. These are perfect. They are good quality and not costly. And this is a brand I can depend on to still offer them when he needs more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's difficult to find the pants I needed for my husband.  He needed ease of getting them off and on with a minimal effort.  I can't always be close by to help him so the wide legs, elastic waistband with drawstring is perfect!

Hanes quality as compared to other "generics"?  No comparison.  Bravo Hanes!  100% cotton too!  Heavy enough to last long and for cooler weather.  Legs length ran a bit long for me but that may "just be me" too.  Maybe I'll grow into them a bit since I'm only 71.

I have purchased these before. I like them well enough, but I have to get a 3X size for my @X body. The pants shrink when washed and dried, even at low heat.

Nice, but they shrink.

The fabric is not as soft as i would have expected. We washed and dried them once and they were a bit softer. (I know the are not knit) My husband likes them and wears them! He likes the fact that there us NO fly, no gaping when sitting or walking.

A bit stiff

This was a happy accident. Thought I was buying lightweight fleece but realized my mistake after wearing them for a few hours. Wouldn't wear them outside in the snow but don't do that with the lightweight fleece either. Comfortable and the pockets are extra deep for some reason. Winner winner.

Really long shorts

I bought these pants for my 12 year old son who refuses to wear anything except comfortable athletic wear.  When ordering these I thought I was purchasing a heavier material, like traditional "sweat pants," but these are a lighter weight, more like t-shirt material.  My son was a little resistant to them, because they felt a little scratchy or stiff.  After a couple washings they are soft and perfect for him.  

As always pockets are a big plus.

Nice pants

I was disappointed that there were loose threads at the bottom hem of each leg. As I wanted a medium size, the the inseam is so long that I was walking on the hem and stressing the fabric.

Too Long

Was looking for Haines Ultimate Sweat Pants, this item came up from the search.  Expected the material to be sweat pant material. This material is like thin stretch  denim that wont strech. Does not deserve the Hains label much less Ultimate. How this is included as a sweat pant is beyond me, the only simularity is the elastic waste band.

I have several pairs of the Hanes Xtreme jersey pants and the ones I just received in this order are not made from the Xtreme 100% cotton. No where on the packing or pants label does it say Xtreme like the earlier pairs. The material is thin, scratchy and not jersey like at all.  Will be returning them to my local Walmart.

Not Hanes Xtreme jersey material as advertised.
