The fit is at least one size larger than marked. I originally ordered a large sweatshirt, and it was at least an extra large! I exchanged it for a medium, which has ample room in it. It shrank a little in the laundry but still fits great.

Best crewneck for the money!  Classic style, not faddishly slim cut- but also not oversized and sloppy. I have ordered Hanes products time and time again in many colors. This heavyweight crewneck is  sturdy and  has a clean aesthetic that makes it perfect for wearing with sweatpants, jeans or chinos. Great by itself for  cool fall days and layering under coats in winter.   Hanes crews are essential and stay in my daily rotation. They do not shrink or fade.

I was looking for a sweater to tie dye

Great sweatshirt. Ordered one for my oldest daughter to hang out in. The quality is great and the shirt is really heavy weight. We ordered a large and it is really large! If I ordered it again, I would probably order a men's medium. She is 160 lb and the shirt is really big, but that's okay. We like them big. Thank you.

Great quality and warm sweatshirt.

I've bought several of these, some zip-front, too.  I LOVE the high cotton fiber content - something hard to find nowadays and, if you can find it, the sweatshirt is so unaffordable.  They are, in my opinion, not the heaviest weight I've had, but they are certainly are NOT flimsy, thin things... they have a certain amount of bulk or beefiness. I think they run a bit large, but not too much - I don't think enough to order a size down.  Besides, we don't like snug sweatshirts.  I didn't notice any shrinkage after washing+drying (cold wash+rinse, medium/perma-press heat dry) Perfect for what we wanted, and reasonably priced! Very happy with these ultimate cotton sweatshirts.

Cotton!

The Hanes brands advertises that this is there heaviest weighted fabric that they sell. I will say that the weight of the sweatshirt is similar to that of a solid flannel. I was hoping for something just a tad heaver. 

I did by the sweatshirt a size bigger than normal. I would defiantly recommend that for the extra lounge around the house comfort.

Heavyweight?

I am 6 foot 178 lb, so I  ordered the large size sweatshirts (in the past I have worn Hanes large size t-shirts).  The large size sweatshirts are HUGE (measured chest circumference 50 inches).  They look like XL or XXL that have been mislabeled.
So I sent them back.  The risk of buying things online.

Need to put on another 50-75 pounds to make it fit

The sweatshirts were twice are large as previously purchased.  After calling customer service and being told the style had changed I was able to contact someone at the corporate office in N.C. who was very helpful and sent me replacements which were also not acceptable.  They looked like I was wearing a moo moo or a tent.  I have purchased this product for many many years and this is the first time I've had a problem.  I will try again next year.

Either wrong size for label or way too big

The first sweatshirts were too large; so I returned them for an exchange for mediums. Unfortunately, Hanes does not exchange merchandise; instead, they offer refunds. The customer has to, then, order the replacement items, which I did. I am waiting for the medium sweatshirts.

Slow Turnaround

I am shocked by the quality of this sweatshirt! It is black and sheds on everything, now my husband's white underwear is completely covered in black non-removable fuzz! It doesn't feel like cotton and the labels in the back are big and stick out into the neck. Also it came with a white residue (glue?) on the front of the shirt that doesn't come off! Where, oh where has Hanes quality gone?

Terrible!
